" - He used to be a pleasure to watch, a truly great boxer, but that was before he fought Calzaghe. He has not been the same boxer since. I don't know if it is mental or physical wear and tear, but he simply has not operated at the same level since."

    Do you agree?

Even a post-Calzaghe/close-to-shot Kessler would be enough to kick your ass back to Oklahoma, Allan.

Green has the chance to prove his assessment of Kessler in the ring; a top Kessler would stop Green inside 8 rounds.

I don't really believe in grades for boxers, but it is true that Kessler's right hand isn't what it used to be due to injuries - the worst one of which happened just before the Calzaghe fight. He is probably getting past his prime in terms of general physique as well, but he is also adding new technical stuff to his game and becoming a more complete fighter. No way to tell if the layoff has hurt him untill saturday - he should be able to beat Green handidly.

Edit: he's also had those eye injuries against Ward (from a shameful headbutt) and Froch which have probably taken their toll, as well as some quite taxing fights in recent years whereas earlier he used to be untouchable. Part of this is due to the level of opposition.
