Last time Thomas rocked up a day before the weigh in, from the US, his trainer couldn't make it and he needed Kenny Porter helping him out in the corner and he seemed to gas after four rounds.

Yet he still won clearly. A fully motivated and prepared Thomas will win again. Allen will do the same thing again because he's so limited, will probably get a gift from the judges to set up a British title fight.

So winning a rigged fight against Tom Dallas gets him a rematch pop at the Commonwealth.

    What a joke.

Allen has done nothing in his career to deserve this. Crazy.

Shows you advantage of having a big promoter u get opportunities you have not earned. Wish him all the best though as it's a tough sport.

I know people like Dave Allen, but I don't want to see him on my TV screen again. The last fight was horrible to watch and he clearly lost. In reality, Allen needs to go back to the small hall circuit, stay in shape and learn his trade and then try again at this level in 18 months or so.

I think in a way EH sees him as a cheap 'filler' for his PPV cards. He knows (somehow) DA has built a steady following, and if he can get him on a PPV for 30 - 40 minutes for £10 - 20k or whatever, then it is very good business for EH.

Hopefully Allen takes this chance seriously this time. Seems like he's getting himself into better shape so that's good.

Was planning on going to this expecting a good undercard, scrap this now. Looking poor.

It annoys me cause I wish Allen was good but I just can't see him winning any sort of decent title, he just doesn't have enough in his locker.

However, if he does manage to win this and get a shot at the British he's only got the winner of Cornish & Sexton to beat. Madness tbh ,none of them deserve it in terms of who they've beaten to get there.

Who deserves to fight for the British title?

Hope Allen can do what it takes to get the win this time around. He's in much better shape so hopefully he's started and will continue his preparation much more seriously.

Disappointed to see this on the AJ-Pulev card though. Not only is it a less than exciting fight that will take up a slot on the supposed blockbuster card, but I think this would have been a good fight for a smaller show. One of Eddie's smaller shows would benefit more from having a good ticket seller like Allen on the card to help shift tickets.

Allen can be in the best shape of his life. His problem is a lack of athletic talent- you either have it or you dont. He doesnt.
