Allen by TKO. There is now way Price can do 10 rounds with anyone half decent heavy with a good pulse.

I don't think Price can do anymore than 6 rounds now, he was fading badly against Ali and with every fight he looks that bit worse.

I don't want to see Allen getting served up another more than achievable KO win again, I want to se him challenged, I want to see him cracked in the face and realising he's in a fight and not against someone who he can "get down to my pace", because against the better fighters he can't do that, as he's proven. Now he's had a few KO wins in a row on Matchroom cards I think we need to see him in with a Whyte, Ortiz, Yoka or Chisora type, then we can see if he is actually getting better. Remember, two years ago he couldn't get Thomas out of there and look how easy Joyce made that look to do.

Question is, will we ever get the Allen vs Thomas Trilogy?

We never got the Allen v Howe trilogy so maybe we will with Lenroy, if there was a Commonwealth belt up for grabs it would make it a marketable fight, in this bonkers Dave Allen and Matchroom world that we are now living in, but there isn't after Joyce showed Allen, very easily, how it is done.

“I’m not a fan of it,” he said of Allen’s social media antics. “Boxing is a serious sport, and I want people to take it seriously.

“Maybe it’s down to self belief, maybe that’s why he hasn’t taken it seriously, but I hope now he does.

“I hope he now does take it seriously, because there’s good fighters out there who work hard but never get these opportunities.

“He’s a heavyweight, so there are going to be opportunities out there for him, but now I hope he steps up and improves from there.

“If you look at the undercard tonight there were some top prospects there, Joe Cordina looked fantastic, he believes he’s going all the way.

“He [Cordina] hasn’t reached his ceiling, and that’s how I want fighters to be, that’s how they’re going to get the best out of themselves.

“He [Allen] did the job tonight, take nothing away from him tonight, but this shouldn’t be his highest moment in his career.

“He talked about what’s next, and that’s the most important thing. He should be striving to improve.”

Groves didn't tear into him, he just told it how it is, I think he's absolutely spot on with his words.

Price would retire on his stool after 8 rounds, he wouldn't be able to go on.

Just saw Allen's wishlist on his instagram:

    1. Pricey
    2. Helenius
    3. Ortiz

    Lmao at Ortiz.

Everyone talks about pricey gassing, can Allen actually go past 6 rounds in s fight he should win? We've seen him stand there and take a beating past 6 rounds where he has hardly threw a punch. Big questions remain over his stamina.

Funnily enough Allen taking a beating against Price for 6 rounds would work as Price would have punched himself out by then.

I agree. There are not many heavyweights out there who would not beat Price if they are in there after 6 rounds so he needs to go for it. Stylewise and fitness wise Price v Briggs would be quality over 2 or 3 rounds.

I agree -- Allen would get him out of there. Anyone who can take a shot and last past 6 beats Pricey.
