Allow me to educate those who buy in to the glass chin theory.

Explain to me then how the same Kirkland managed to walk through as many rounds as he did against Joel Julio he carries many more KO's than this "feather fisted joke"...because of conditioning. Now in a sense, I agree with both you and David.

There are plenty of examples of Glass Jaws, but a large amount of guys here tend to exaggerate or misuse the idea of what a true-to-word glass jaw really is and label certain fighters incorrectly. David Haye, Amir Khan, Timothy Bradley, Kirkland...they're all chinny fighters. They are fighters with crackable chins when met with serious power or a good shot, but when conditioned properly and well prepared are just as sturdy as iron chinned fighters.

I mean...to prove David's point. If you're saying glass jaws exist, then obviously the opposite must exist as well. Iron jawed fighters. Librado Andrade is an iron jawed fighter. Walked Bute like a dog in their first fight. Gets bitched in 4 rounds in the next. Case two. Manny Pacquiao. Guy gets KO'd from a simple jab against one guy. Folds from a body shot from another and then a few years later takes 12 rounds from Antonio Margarito, Miguel Cotto, etc. etc...but just a few years back was wobbled by JMM...when Manny is conditioned and ready for war, he can take em like the best...when he was malnourished and poor...mo'****a dropped it like it was hot.

But there are simply guys who don't have good chins at all. Yusef Mack has a **** chin. Roy Jones currently has a **** chin (due to servere amounts of dropping and gaining weight). Enzo Mac has a shitty chin. I mean ****ing ay...just look at Eric Crumbles record...the **** is sad. Check out the guys who were KO'd by Malignaggi...seriously. Shitty chins exist, but not on the elite level. You MUST have some sort of chin in order to make it to that tier in class to even be spoken of in news. Glass jaw now gets as much airfare as the word "hate"...people don't "hate" as much as they claim, mostly just seriously dislike things, but we use the word because it's accessible. Same as glass jaw or hype job.
