Last week I bought the book "Ultimate book of boxing lists" by Bert Sugar and Teddy Atlas, interesting book....

    Bert top 10

    1- Eder Jofre
    2- Panama Al Brown
    3- Ruben Olivares
    4- Carlos Zarate
    5- Pete Herman
    6- Manuel Ortiz
    7- Orlando Canizales
    8- Fighting Harada
    9- Raul Macias
    10- Jimmy Barry

    What is your opinion ?
Macias is way too high in my opinion.....
    Is he a top 10 BW ??? I don´t think so....

    I'd have Harada over Canizales...comfortably.

Can't comment on others, but I know Harada fought and beat a much higher level of competition than Canizales did. I think quality of opponents defeated should hold more weight than consistency, personally.

On any given night Harada could have beaten any of those rated above him.

Agreed. One of the most skilled swarmers I've ever seen. I wish there was footage of his early 6 rounder with Hiroyuki Ebihara. I'm sure it was a treat. 9-0 Ebihara against 12-0 Harada. Both went on to have great careers.
