Last week I bought the book "Ultimate book of boxing lists" by Bert Sugar and Teddy Atlas, interesting book.... Bert top 10 1- Eder Jofre 2- Panama Al Brown 3- Ruben Olivares 4- Carlos Zarate 5- Pete Herman 6- Manuel Ortiz 7- Orlando Canizales 8- Fighting Harada 9- Raul Macias 10- Jimmy Barry What is your opinion ? Macias is way too high in my opinion..... Is he a top 10 BW ??? I don´t think so....
Can't comment on others, but I know Harada fought and beat a much higher level of competition than Canizales did. I think quality of opponents defeated should hold more weight than consistency, personally.
Agreed. One of the most skilled swarmers I've ever seen. I wish there was footage of his early 6 rounder with Hiroyuki Ebihara. I'm sure it was a treat. 9-0 Ebihara against 12-0 Harada. Both went on to have great careers.
