What stopped Manny from going for broke then? He threw less punches than he ever has in a 12 round fight.

Algieri moved more than Floyd, but Pac kept coming, kept reaching to land punches, and didn't care. Chased him all over the ring and kept throwing. He obviously felt differently with Floyd.

Why would Pacquiao try to out counter punch the counter puncher unless he was worried being reckless would get him hurt? Exactly. Dude accepted defeat, and it was obvious when he was tamed to the degree that Pac was reduced to "I'm trying to land 1 big punch, then flurry" to change the fight. That's a fantasy and a ridiculous strategy against Mayweather.

I'm personally shocked. I thought Pac would go out on his shield if he had to in order to force the issue. Dude folded, and folded quickly. "Just give me my paycheck." That's what I saw from Manny.

what clean, sharp blows? please, this is nutzz. Floyd landed about 3 clean hard shots all fight and it didn't seem to hurt Pacquiao. In 36 minutes of fighting, 3 hard clean punches. Pacquiao landed the bigger punches...

and no, i've repeatedly stated i thought Floyd edged him but what i'm angry about were the scores. I don't agree with Evander and Mosely, who claim Pac won but i scored this fight 115-113 or 116-112, either one is reasonable to me. The thing is, there were about 3 clear rounds for Pac; about 5 rounds where i think Floyd took 'em, the rest were up for grabs where i don't feel Floyd did enough to win them but given Pac was the aggressor, Pac should've won some of those. What happened is that EVERY close or up for grabs round, went to Floyd. The judge that scored it 116-112 was a reasonable score.

that belief lowers the standard of boxing. no one is undefeated especially fighting on even playing field. biased judges see good defense as ring generalship which is going away with the mentality of will to win.

Algieri DIDN'T move like Floyd, very different. Algieri had no balance. It's not only Floyd's movement, it's balance, anticipation. Algieri ran but lacked the anticipation, head movement and balance of Floyd. Floyd is more explosive with his feet.

and i laugh when you all say 'what stopped manny from going for broke' LOL, How easy it is to say this huh? did Manny go for broke vs Algieri? NO HE DIDN'T. He also picked his spots BUT Algieri was easier to hit. He was fairly aggressive vs floyd but he should've being more aggressive, i agree but going for broke? What do you think Manny is? an amateur? want him to run straight into a punch?

Not a good example. In this scenario, Mayweather outlanded the opponent 7 punches to 2. The opponent was aggressive, but not EFFECTIVELY aggressive, only landing 2 punches.

Do I need to bump all your ridiculous posts about why Manny would keep coming and Floyd wouldn't be able to control his aggression?

Just stop. You kids are embarrassing yourselves.

Manny was clearly behind on the cards. He needed a KO to win. He never went for it. "Content with losing, give me my check." I understand his decision, but it is what it is. There were 2 options: 1) Go for it and risk running into a punch or 2) Protect myself physically, get out-boxed, and just collect my money. The 2nd option is known as "giving up."

If you say "those options suck," then you have to tip your cap to Floyd for forcing those options on Manny. Superior boxing skill and controlled the fight.

Hatton and Maidana walked through fire to get to Floyd and force him to fight out of his comfort zone. Manny was unwilling to pay the price of admission, because he was scared of Mayweather punching him.

i wouldn't be surprised at all if Manny really thought he was winning. I mean, for you all Fl o mo s, you are dazzled by Floyd dancing for you but it's very different when you are in the ring. Put yourself in the ring with Floyd, you are chasing him for 3 minutes, Floyd throws a few little jabs, you corner him, throw hard punches and Floyd grabs you. Tell me, would you feel you lost that round? Judges seemed to think that, would you?

Floyd dictated the pace, landed more shots, and negated Pac's offense. Doesn't matter how boring you think it is, he won the round. "Trying" to make the fight and failing to do so is losing the round, hence the word: trying. You said it yourself.
