I was a great crowd pleaser in my time who almost kod a champion legend.
I had one leg shorter than the other, preventing me from taking backwards steps. So i always sailed into my opponents, resulting in great action filled bouts. I was a neighbor of another tough guy who was a champ. Who am I.?

Mc, you flattened me ! Yes Tami Mauriello of the Bronx,NY,who was a helluva HW puncher in the 1940s. Tami had one leg shorter than the other, making it difficult to go backwards. In Sept,1946 Tami dropped Louis ,but couldn't follow through, and was kod by my favorite HW.
I saw Mauriello ko Bruce Woodcock in MSG,1946. MSG. Saw Tami against, Baksi, Oma,and Lee Savold at MSG. Tami's neighbor was Jake LaMotta, also a "fair" fighter. Cheers Mc.
