i dont know, i mean..i aint downing them, i just find it weird most of the time......

but it's true i guess, when your a full time boxer, you dont wanna watch fights or read about it, you just wanna fight....

i can say, that all my fighter friends have never watched a fight with me...and i've invited them over many, many, i mean , MANY ****en times...but they'd rather be out and about at casinos and clubs....while im stuck watching shobox or telefutura fights...ahahahahaaahahahahha

its a self protection thing. imagine you are a talented....but not overly talented welterweight.

and you would be aware of the fact that if you ever want to make it out of the favela, you have to beat berto or cintron or margo and so on in two weeks.

you think you could still sleep and enjoy life. dont think so.

motivation only goes so far. if your average fighter has only a slight sense of reality, then life is pretty bleak for them.

    anyways, you a pro fighter??

You take what I said, then draw a bunch of conclusions I said nothing about. I never said someone had to watch thousands of tapes, nor did I say their athleticism, boxing skills, or their trainers had nothing to do with their success. I never said they had to browse boxing sites at all, much less daily. Proof would be asking them, as Tyson is on record saying he would learn from his sessions with his handlers, watching old tapes of fighters to learn what he could.

Take two fights, A and B, all things equal mentally and physically, then add that fighter A has studied how he might match up with B by watching tapes of fighters similar to him against fighters similar to B. A is more likely to have an established and workable gameplan entering the fight. My money would be on A to win.

Many golfers analyze how Tiger plays to try and teach themselves to become better. Poker players analyze the tapes of their fellow poker players to give themselves an edge at the table, and for the simply instructional purposes of learning how the top players do what they do.

Because most boxers arn't too bright and think past fights or fighters have nothing to do with them and the modern game.

yea pretty much thats the only way 2 xplain it. Same thing as the average person going to work, they dont care to kno s**t about how the company got started, and who paved the way for them to get here. THey just g2 work 2 get a check, and its pretty much the same thing for some boxers

you cant say that, the fight as be4 his team probably. Im a fan but I can admitt that I dont kno as much info as probably you or other veteran posters on here about the olden days b/c its be4 my time, I do some research and learn from posters on here, and watch youtube, but for somr1 that wasnt alive back in the day its almost impossibe for you to kno as much on that era as some1 whow as around in that time. So you cant discredit floyd if he didnt kno, prolly didnt care to ask.
