If Floyd had signed already would people be talking as much about it? No people have already discussed who would win etc with the assumptions the fight is a done deal. Delaying the fight pisses people off (including myself) but boxings a business, the fight is like a product, delaying the launch creates more buzz and anticipation.

This now gives an extra edge to the promotions, Mosley can now say because Mayweather delayed he was scared, he did not want to sign etc, which will build on their rivalry and create a better 24/7 show. This is just promotion, the fight will be announced latest Thursday evening/Friday morning.

 

I always thought he will sign. I still do really, but not because he wants to. He has no other choice.

I can get that him holding out creates more barbershop buzz. To me though it that kind of stuff pisses people off and turnes them off from the whole event. Its not hard to pump up a fight after its already been signed. 27/7, trash talk, all that **** is what builds anticipation for the fight. Delaying the contract signing? I dont think so..........but then again im no marketing expert
