Yup. He can no longer duck and shy away from fights the way he's been doing. The spotlight is on that **** now

Its all about perceptions, Floyd has a lot more haters with negative perceptions about him then Mosley. The quick way now to keep him the villain is to delay his signing of the contract. Now Schaefer has created more buzz in saying the fight may not happen, which keeps people talking, debating and an interest in the fight.

What would be the perfect time to announce the fight? Right next to the most watched sporting event in the world. :deal

My point about keeping Floyd the villain by delaying the contract signing, proved.

 No, seriously...Let's be serious here - how is it promoting? Like TheJuggernaut said, they can sign and then promote it, not create this suspense that might turn the casual fan away from it.

He didn't need to not sign this contract to be a villain, all he has to do is 1 brian kenny interview, count some money on youtube, then go wrestle in the wwe.
I will hate him more than ever after that.

As soon as UFC changed the date of there PPV this fight was a done deal. The fight will happen on May 1st. Why are people worrying and catching feelings over nothing.

You'd have to ask richard schaefer.
We're not the ones calling dan rafael and expressing our concerns.

I'm questioning whether those concerns are real?

If it wasn't for pac, floyd would still be fighting the malignaggi's and campbells. pac forced him into the corner and he still wants to hide. Floyd is a disgrace to the sport.

Delaying the contract signing doesn't hype the fight. Yeah, were all annoyed now but do you think the week before the fight we will think "I'm not paying for this! Oh, wait...Floyd stalled on signing the contract, I will pay $3000 to see this!!"? Of course not.

Nobody cares whether he stalls or not considering the fight is months away. If it was going to happen soon, it'd be great hype, but nobody cares right now. We just want to see it set in stone.

What would gave helped promotion, is Mayweather signing and then both guys publicizing the fight already. They could gave had an extra week, which is big, to get this fight out there but they couldn't because Floyd didn't sign.

umm Of course the Mosley-Mayweather fight should draw more. Two of the biggest names in American Boxing finally going face to face. It'd be a damn shame if it didn't draw more than Pac-Clott
