Alright! Let's have it! How could Hopkins POSSIBLY beat Joe?

The only way Hopkins can beat Calzaghe is if he fights dirty, somehow manage cause a nasty cut on Joe due to headbutts, then Hopkins goes back to his running mode, occassionaly throwing right hands then instantly grabbing JOe when he gets close, while Hopkins punching rabbit punches inside.

 

i dont see how people believe Hop can't beat Cal...Cal is good but man he by no means is the talent Roy was in his prime....B-Hop definitely can win this fight.

 

He'll be dirty. He'll be crafty. He'll be Philly pretty much. Hopkins is actually very explosive and quick when he wants to be....see the Wright fight and Tarver fight, it's something he didn't do against Taylor, but the added weight actually appeared to rejuvenate him a bit. He will stay on the outside in his crouch / shoulder roll defense looking to counter then hold and hit, occassionally he will catch Joe coming forward....give an angle and come in with a combo falling in. This is it pretty much. He can do that ALL FIGHT. Hopkins might be harder to hit with a clean shot then Floyd and Joe's quick flurries will be quickly stuffed by Hopkins holding, when he actually gets in range. Believe it or not, face the facts or not....but Hopkins style now, while very ugly and frustrating, is extremely effective in controlling anything his opponent can do on offense. :deal

 

Now you tell me, how will Calzaghe beat him? Specifically, give a quick scenario.....Joe does this, then Hops does this, etc etc

 

well B-Hop is very very crafty in the ring he is VET he commands the ring its of no coincidence that in his last fight he dominated his opponents no matter how boring it was he dominated them and he was the way older fighter. He is very smart in the ring bottom line.

Cal is a wonderful fighter BUT.....he has a tendency to get wild at times with pucnhes and he is often off balance with his feet with wild shots. Look at the Kessler fight as dominant a performace that was against Kessler Cal was extremely wild with punches and off balance. B-Hop would crowd Cal making Cal's speed null then he of course would hold with one arm and punch while the ref is on the other side yes dirty tactics i know but hey its a fight. B-Hop will bring all the tactics out in this fight because he is that craft.....and again his competition is far tougher than Cal....Cal has looked great against i believe Kessler and Lacy neither of those fighters had fought anyone like Cal or nowhere near it....that was a huge step in comp for them.

Now B-Hop on the other hand has fought ALL the elite i believe....i just think Cal is a little over confident in himself based on fighters that were not ready for him period then i mean the home court factor is always nice....if he is as good as he says he fights B-Hop anywhere i mean if he keeps fighting on his homeland the knock soon will be he doesnt leave his home regardless if it makes more money or not well at least thats what it seems most ESB posters think as they believe it should be for legacy and not money all the time and i think clearly this is a legacy fight because all Cal has is Lacy and Kessler he has enough money.

 

I'll tell you one thing. If Calzaghe comes to Yankee Stadium and loses to a 43yr old Hopkins he can kiss whatever legacy he thinks he has goodbye.
