    That's right, the standup soviet style wouldn't work in the pros. People say their big guy, Hell! Austin and McCline are bigger, more fluid, and would KTFO them in just a few rounds.:good

    Exactly, the only way we can really rank the Klitschko's amongst world class pro's that are in the sport now is to compare how either brother did against their toughest ever opponent, which of course was the USA's very own Laurence Clay-Bey during the early rounds of the 96 olympics.

    As you can see the young Klitschko only just won this one by the skin of his teeth, IMAGINE WHAT SEASONED UNDEFEATED PRO'S LIKE CHAMBERS AND SOLIS WOULD DO TO HIM! There is a reason why these slick warriors have never lost a fight. Either of those robot chumps would get their ears boxed of here.

    Nevermind the slicksters, how exactly are two amatuer clowns that hide behind their headgear just like they hide behind the iron curtain going to deal with the ATG 'super' HW that have come through in this era like Rahman and Briggs?

    Rahman and Briggs as well as being known as ATG legend destroyers are also part of the new breed of heavyweight. These two are more than likely the strongest boxers of all time. Look at the muscles on them!
    These two KO any headgear wearing Klitschko chump with ease in the first round.

    First of all, great thread :good Second, I have never heard any American refer to Willard as an ATG :-( Most Americans will tell you that's the guy that likes to play with rats :!:

    That's the first time I have ever been called a racist in my life! Why would you call me that? To me, it's a very interesting concept. The thread starter is just pointing out how the fall of the Soviet Union and the influx of their boxers have changed the landscape of pro boxing. I thought he was quite accurate with his scenario. If you ever in Oakland, California look me up and I'll buy you a drink and introduce you to my friends. You find out real quick if I'm a racist :-( :lol:

    True, it was great watching Toney in those 2 other epic $50m unification super fights against the unbeaten 'nightmare' Sam Peter. I wouldn't mind seeing a third fight between these two ATG's.

    Thoughts on the WBA king David Haye.

    After proving his greatness with his stunning victory over the American legend John Ruiz to capture the WBA belt and of course to capture the hearts of every American and British boxing fan around 'Haye mania' was firmly established, England hadn't had such a buzz since the swinging 60's with beatle mania storming the World and England winning the soccer World cup.

    Fast forward to his defence against the Olympic hero, Gold medal winning Audley Harrison, where Haye crushed the dangerous foe with relative ease with a stunning 3rd KO. David had slayed Goliath in style. Harrison weighing more than a whopping 18 stone is of course one of the many 'super' heavyweights this current Golden era has heralded in.

    Haye who has one defeat that came as a young'un when learning the ropes against the dangerous Carl Thompson. Now Haye is licking his lips with great anticipation as he eagerly awaits the winner of the British super fight between Fury and Chisora that comes in a few weeks, a fight that many think Haye can win, the World really is Haye's oyster. Unification fights must be on the horizon now, it is said IBF and WBC undefeated king of the division Fast Eddie Chambers has already called out haye in what will be the super fight of the century, i can't wait personally! Can you?

    There's been arguments for years over a fantasy matchup between Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson and many think a David Haye vs Eddie Chambers could answer most of the questions over who would win. Chambers is clearly regarded as the greatest boxer after the "Great One" and Haye with 25 Ko's out of 26 wins, few question "Iron Mike" comparisons.....

    Don't forget Ross Puritty, a man so strong he's capable of KOing a hypotyhetical Ivan Drago!

    And then there's Cory Sanders, KO artist with such spectacular speed and range that, if a hypothetical Ivan Drago -- or something to that effect, i.e. a giant robotic Soviet heavyweight -- were to exist, then this Cory Sanders would KO him too! That's how powerful he is!

    Last but not least, mentioned already above. The highly skilled and redoubtable Lamon Brewster. A puncher with such extraordinary brute strength and power, that if a hypothetical Ivan Drago figure were to exist -- sequestered behind the iron curtain -- then Lamon Brewster would be the man to TKO said hypothetical soviet giant!

    To summarize: Puritty, Sanders, and Brewster: titans of this alternative universe where a hypothetical Ivan Drago-like boxer is trapped behind the iron curtain!
