I know this is hearsay from a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy, blah blah blah...

But my cousin from Pueblo is friends with some of Alvarado's crew down there. And Alvarado is a legitimate gangster. As in living up to all the stereotypes associated with being a hood ass rat and that's all I need to say.

He's a thug. Look at Alvarado's criminal record. As if you needed to know that beyond him showing up to the Rios re-match press conference with huge ass gouges all over his face. It appeared as though he had an altercation with a shower door to the face.

Alvarado is ruined. I think little of Brandon Rios (I do appreciate him for the Acosta and Antillon wars) but I think Alvarado will probably never win a top level fight again (sadly Rios isn't close to top level either, but still, you catch my drift).

Did you hear him in this vid? Doesnt sound like he should even be fighting.
Guy sounds worse than my grandpa. Makes you wonder what sort of medical tests (if any) they put these guys through.

In terms of the media workout naturally he's cutting weight again so he looks even worse than he usually does. Hopefully he doesnt get beaten up too badly.

Alvarado and Rios are both the sort of fighters that you could record 24 hours of them shadowboxing and still not be able to come up with a 2 minute highlight package to show their technique.

I will say, if you've boxed before you know... it's a lot harder to "look legit" while shadowboxing than some of them make it seem. It isn't quite the same as hitting the punching bag where everyone can look like the second coming of Hercules.

Can you tell a difference between the way Alvarado looks in the first video and this media workout video from 2 years ago?:

Michael is clearly suffering from the after effects of that vicious beatdown by a juiced-out Roidquez.

This will be sad and unpleasant for Mike, like Pacquiao Morales 3 or Marquez Vasquez 4, the trilogy will end with a whimper not a bang.

Kinda funny, too, because if they fought 100 times in the span of time between their first two fights I'd pick Alvarado to win perhaps 70%. But as shot as Rios has been, my goodness, Alvarado seems to be completely done.
