This fight would be a great one. I think Alvarado is ready to face fighters like Lucas, Maidana, Alexander. Alvarado style is exciting style in which vs Maidana or Lucas will be a classic.

He's tailor made for either Argentinian, but it would be a bell to bell thriller (that might get a bit dirty/ugly at times but would always be action packed).

Maybe but imo Alvarado jab is the hardest jab i've seen in a long time at junior welterweight. His jab could be a big factor vs either Maidana or Lucas. And Alvarado got good pop. We'll see if Alvarado really has a good chin if he face either of those fighters.

    hmmmmmm, i'll favor Alvarado!
He's on a hot killing streak, and boooyyyyy, that guy can PUNCH! A bit more speed/pop than Maidana, and with the weight.

This would be a MUST SEE fight for Lt Welterweight.....

Alvarado hasn't been in the ring with even one top fighter at 140, i would favor Maidana big time as the step up in competition would be too great for Alvarado.

It would be his first step up to world class, but the leap wouldn't be such a yawning gorge completely beyond Alvarado's reach to the point where he'd just be overwhelmed IMO. He's fought some fair B level guys. It isn't like he's just been in with thirty-one tomato cans.

I would favor Maidana, but in more of a grind-it-out battle of attrition than a blowout where one guy is just in over his head and paralyzed by the moment.
