    except drainelo lost.

pac/pedjr won against dela hoya and their careers took off.

this early, seems like drainelo ceiling is pretty clear: another cotto in the making.

he wont be matched with a risky oppoents bec he could actually lose again.

that is a disaster in the middle of a ppv contract, with a pre-determined number of fights.

I think once he fights Cotto (whether he beats Martinez or not) the numbers will really begin to take off

That's pretty solid. Put him in against a Cotto and he doubles or trebles that and it establises him as a PPV star.

    Impressive. Pleasantly surprised.

Post De La Hoya fights they both became bonanza Ppv stars

Canelo doesn't have De La Hoya type figure that can take him to the next level

Canelo will be the next PPV susperstar if he keeps winning. He already has a lot of support from the Mexican -American and Mexican community. I have a lot of friends who watched his fight despite coming off a loss and not really knowing who Angulo was. A fight against Cotto draws AT LEAST 1 million PPVs. I hate PPV but those are the facts.

I can't believe I am wasting my time replying to you morons.

    I'll make it quick:

    1. Matthysse vs Garcia on the undercard which was a 400k+ buy by itself
    2. Canelo was coming off a loss and fought Angulo (barely known)
    3. Floyd with a similar opponent Guerrero did 875k

The real difference between Canelo and Floyd is only about 500k buys as numbers show.

    Absolutely
For many on the fence about The One, that undercard caused them to buy the PPV
A lot of people were more interested in that fight than the main, myself included

Guerrero has no fanbase what so ever, and that was Floyds first fight on SHOtime.

Im a huge DSG fan. But I recognize he aint no PPV draw yet.

The reason Floyd sold 2.2 million is because of the hype around the fight. It doesnt matter the opponent.

    When you combine

Alleged Threat Level + Floyd's supporters + Floyd Haters who want to see him lose + Good Promotion= You'll always get a big number

You bought it for Floyd stop lying

You are a perfect example of his scheme at work. You spend all day discrediting him on a forum, yet you still bought his last PPV :lol::lol::lol:

So Maidana vs Floyd should do around 2.2m right? This fight fits your formula perfectly. Not even Floyd believes that **** :rofl
