Youre so fullasht! Ward whooped him twice. Give the man his due and stop the hate. You sound like a clingy exgf who cant get over the relationship.

I gave ward credit for the rematch and the heart he showed in the first fight to climb back up from the canvas. However you should know by now that things are not black and white in boxing and sure enough with anything in life there are complexities, grey areas and contexts that we have to consider if we wish to put things in their proper perspective

And once we analysis what actually took place during the fights and what what was witnessed and agreed upon amongst the pundits, commentators, fellow fighters, journalists, news feeds and fans alike, we eventually reach a consensus.

And the consensus is that what transpired was questionable officiating, dubious scorecards, disgusting illegal fouls of every kind imaginable a long with witnessing the first ever low blow KO stoppage in boxing.

From every single possible angle we look at the fight from, we see nothing but corruption. Only if we were to close our eyes and mute the commentary would we stand a chance of not seeing/hearing of any of the blatant fouls and the stand down job of the ref so Ward could do as he pleases.

Did we see anything questionable of a similar magnitude last night? Maybe there was the accidental head clash on Alverez that could have been called against SK. Other than that it was a clean fight, where we the viewers/audience are left without any doubt that the best man won on the night. That for me and many others - a victory like that trumps a controversial one that is heavily influenced by partisan officiating.

thats non sense. lets be for real. when ward fought kovalev .. kovalev still had the sinister aurora he was the boogey man the only one who wanted to get in the ring with him was ward. so props right there. then he solved the kovalev puzzle an now fighters have a blue print. the sky was the limit for kovalev untill he met andre ward. and now kovalev knows hes not the best lost his 0. hes not as hungry. an he is fighting alvarez whos been waiting for his oppurtunity . he finally gets it so hes gonna give it all hes has and not gonna lay down for nowbody. Alvarez knew if he won this fight hes gonna get some big money fights. same went for kovalev. but kovalev already made his money. 2 big fights with pascal and ward and the b hop fight. alvarez first real chance he was gonna be a handful for anyone. kovalev just wasnt training like he was suppose to. his waist is about as wide as his shoulders. bad sign. thats a indicator right there some one been slacking in training camp.

It's only a contraversy because the Kov fans make it out to be. If they wouldn't cry about everything, sites like this one would be much better to visit.

You need to rephrase that post. No one is crying about anything All anyone wants is EVERY fight to be officiated fairly. How many top fights fall into that category today ?? Not Many
At least 90 % of boxing fans expect jiggery pokery AGAIN is Sept with GGG - Clenelo
That should NOT be but sadly BLATANT CORRUPTION has taken over

Ward destroyed Kovalev in there last fight imo taking Kovalevs soul along the way in those last couple of rounds and far to many people got hung up on 1 or 2 borderline punches in a series of punches before the ref stopped Ward from having a cleaner kill.

Whatever you say, he had Kovalev on the ropes, sitting there like a Greek philosopher thinking about life.

When he has a guy punching at him trying to knock him out in tough fights he is trying to win.. He tried to hit him to the body to lower his hands. He was going to knock out Kovalev in the second fight. He just had to calm down.

Regardless whether he was going to knock out Kovalev it doesn't negate the fact that he broke the rules.

If a fighter is stunned from a legal punch and is the the verge of getting knocked down, it doesn't then give the opponent the right to deliver a headbuttfor the finishing blow and then we later say he just needed to calm down.

What we say and what would normally happen is that the fighter who blatantly headbutts or low blows would get points deducted or disqualified especially when it is blatant.

We've seen fighters fall down from low blows and the ref disqualifies the culprit

In your opinion did or should've Golota won this fight when he had Bowe in similar position to Kovalev and finished Bowe off with a low blow?

Ward won the fight. I am not sure what all this means. The Golota fight was a different situation. He was landing punches throughout the fight for a longer period of time.

    That doesn't make any sense.

Ward was landing low blows throughout the fight as well and he was warned initially but then the warnings stopped.

There is nothing different from Golota's finishing low blow which knocked down Bowe, the only difference is Golota was rightly disqualified for it just as Ward should have been

Ward won on corruption. This cannot be disputed. You can spin it as much as you like, the cold hard fact is, based on the rules of boxing he should have been either deducted a point or disqualified. Or SK should have been given a standing 8 count. However many of you argue he was not in a state to continue and so Ward should have been disqualified according to the official rules of Boxing

9.1. After a low blow, if the offended Boxer does not complain and the low blow was not hard and intentional,
the Referee must signal the foul without interrupting the Bout

after a low blow, if the offended Boxer complains about the severity of the low blow, the Referee will have
    two (2) options:
    9.2.1.
The offending Boxer will be immediately disqualified if it is an intentional and hard blow.
    9.2.2.
    Start an eight (8) count.
9.3. After the eight (8) count, the Referee will have (2) options:
    9.3.1.
The Boxer is fit to continue: the Referee will give a warning to the offender and the Bout will
    9.3.2.
The Boxer is unfit to continue: the Referee will give a certain amount of time to the Boxer to try
to recover with a maximum of up to one (1) minute and a half.
