Please tell me if you think these were illegal shots:

ha! A google search turned that up. Refs will call that area as fair game if the guy has high trunks.

Look what Holyfield had to deal with against Lewis. He repeatedly hit the letters cos thats where his body was!

    A great example.

    A perfectly legal area.

Regarding Ward-Kov, if I had the time, I'd like to count how many times he tagged that Krusher symbol.

Of course those were legal shots.

    No one is arguing otherwise.

Showing that clip doesn't negate all the other incidents involving Ward hitting below the belt. Earlier in the fight he was actually warned as a token gesture to stop but I believe Ward knew Tony Weeks wasn't going to follow up on his warnings.

Even after the fight, Tony Weeks publicly apologized, much too late I might add, for missing the low blows.

''I am being criticised a lot unjustly. I have watched the replay and have to admit I was wrong I missed the lowblows from Ward''

    Tony Weeks

No matter how much danger SK was in no matter how done you think he was in the last round it does not give the opponent the licence to violate the rules of boxing.

If Ward headbutt kod him or kod him after the bell whilst SK was out on his feet you cannot justify it by arguing that he was just about to get knocked out anyway.

How many low blows were there in the fight?

I don't want to see that ridiculous video, tell me from memory and I'll analyse them.

They were only a few to my knowledge, where you could say they were definitely fouls.

The problem Sergey had, was that he was complaining to Weeks, even on shots which were 100% clean.

No, of course it doesn't give him the right to foul. But we don't even know that it was intentional. And I honestly don't think that was. That's just my opinion. I don't know why he'd have risked hitting him low deliberately.

:dunno Eléyder Álvarez and Marcos Maidana are about as stylistically similar in the ring as Rik Mayall and Samuel L. Jackson onscreen.

So then why the blatant uppercuts to Kov's testes then ??
Kov's head was open & unprotected. What Ward & Weekes did in that fight was nothing short of CRIMINAL!!

    He wasn't.

    You're kidding yourself.

The majority of his body shots were like these:

    https://i.imgur.com/h2vj9Z5.gif

They were perfectly legal, yet Kovalev was desperately looking at weeks for help.

You can't say that they were low just because Kovalev complained.

    Go and analyse the fight.

YES!!! They were. Doesnt matter a toss what Weekes said The foul line is the fighters NAVEL !!! Kov's navel is clearly ABOVE the top of his trunks that punch , an uppercut actually landed on the lettering SIX INCHED BELOW his navel A clear FOUL !!!! Weekes did NOT enforce the M of Q rules of boxing

Learn the roles of the sport before accusing people my friend. Any blow below the navel is a FOUL
