If Hearns was a true warrior like Kovalev, he'd have folded over and complained to the ref instead of fighting on when punches went low.

 

He was trying for the knockout. I remember when Nigel Benn knocked out Barkley, the commentator said why did you hit him when he was down. and he said, when your going you do that, but you are a commentator so you wouldn't know that. It is the same thing. I think Ward was going and he didn't realize it. It was rough in there. I know he shouldn't have but he wont the fight. Somehow Kovalev being an excuse maker has other guys looking for excuses for him. He lost those two fights and now a 3rd.

 

Id love to sit and watch the second fight with you because i would hand your ass to you on the bs your talking right now. Just about all the "low blows" were not low blows at all! Kovalev was taking clean body shots all night long and finally wilted. Prove me wrong. post a vid of the fight and point out EVERY LOW BLOW in the fight. I bet you cant find more than 2 if that! The last punch was likely low but it was irrelevant because Kov had quit already by sitting on the ropes. Prove me wrong. Ill wait.

 

All I'll say is watch the fight again while remembering the FOULL line is the opponents navel. That's the M of Q rules
No matter what Tony Weekes or any other referee says. A referee is there to ENFORCE the rules NOT make up his own. Those punches were landing on the LETTER S on his trunks a good 4-6 inches below his navel They were FOULS!!!!!!!!

 

Alvarez studied the ward fights & followed the same game plan jabs & body shots even the right hands that hurt kov was eerily the same ward just went to the body & the punches looked low just imagine if he went to the head he would've knocked him out standing
