Cotto had the most problems with Margarito, a bigger stronger guy who constantly comes forward fighting in pure Mexican Style. Some think Alvarez will break Cotto down in the same fashion but Saul doesn't have the stamina for that. Alvarez does not throw many punches per round, he is not quick of foot, and he rarely uses a jab.

Overall Alvarez is not a better "boxer" than Cotto...better puncher but not a better boxer. Alvarez will have to land combinations to even have a chance against Cotto. I don't think the occasional one, two, or one, two, hook is going to work on Cotto.

I'm going against the grain and believe the smarter, better trained, and more experienced Cotto will prevail!

His stamina seemed fine against Lara since he had to run his ass down for 12 rounds.

Canelo actually fights more like Cotto, a poor man's version of Cotto. Cotto has the better jab by far, better defense. But I think Canelo has improved tremendously since the Floyd fight, Canelo actually was able to hang with Floyd at times. I still think Cotto is susceptible to the uppercut and Canelo is slightly faster and more willing to exchange. Canelo seems stronger than Cotto, but Cotto is still deceptively strong. He goes down or hurt, he knows to take a knee, and could recuperate and win the fight. If Canelo is hurt, we don't know how he'll react. Almost like a fighter fighting his mirror image.

Oh please Lara after 4 rounds was getting pummeled from ring post to ring post by a fighter that's not even a pressure fighter. Canelo was doing his impression of Ggg and busted Lara up in the process. Lara would be lucky to fight on espn or telemundo. No one to blame, but himself.

I kinda agree. But I'm not sure if he has the better one punch power. His only advantages speed and size in this fight.

Hard to tell, as he hasn't been getting cracked by big hitters. I think he beats Cotto though. Cotto's recent success seems more like a product of good matchmaking than anything.

Floyd hit Alvarez on the chin and what happened? The punches and combinations from Saul stopped. He became a predictable stationary fighter
