    This is not a knock on Saul Alvarez at all, but I think what we have here is a 154 pound Ricky Hatton. This is an exciting kind of fighter with some legitimate boxing skills and some extra power at the weight that wears people down. He is a threat to anyone but the most elite fighters and a major league fan favorite.

    No, it's just a stupid comparison. Their styles couldn't possibly be any further apart.

    yeah i can see it. Kind of like Alfredo Angulo is a 154 version of Pernell Whitaker.

    Honestly though... Ricky was more of a swarmer/mauler with quick feet, while Alvarez is more of a slow, methodical stalker. The comparison is terrible to say the least.
