Good point but I know for a fact that I will see the highlights/results. Not to say I won't watch it too but it all depends on what the results are.

this fight represents everything that is wrong in boxing. 0-2-1 and get a title shot from a guy that beat no1 to get at shot at the title against a fighter that wasnt even ranked, and now as a champion wont face a contender yet calls out the p4p no1

So since that one widely perceived mistmatch ended up being a good fight, we should never criticize mismatches?

    its horse **** times 10.
lets reward a 40 year old guy without a win in 3 years because 2 people you mentioned finally signed for fights....ive seen my farweel fights with shane the last 2 nearly unwatchable shut out losses......
typical boxing politics....a guy like lara deserves a shot, molina deserves a shot...not a guy that hasnt won a fight a 154 in almost 6 years against a ranked guy..... i repeat...HORSE **** and disgraceful :dead

It makes business sense for Canelo & GBP.

For Mosley and the fans it is nonsense.

you dont get better when youre a 40 year old welterweight who hasnt won in 3 years fighting a 21 year old kid who is 39-0
Shane can look like a swimsuit model and run 5 miles and hit the pads like a champ....and it wont mean **** when he gets in there and trys to survive and not win. cant wait to sit through this horrendous 36 minutes

Still, I don't hate the fight considering the realistic alternatives. Key word that nobody seems to understand: realistic.

For a 21 year old, Alvarez's resume is so beyond legit and advanced that people need to, not necessarily drop the recent bashing, but re-think the way they word it. That way when people look back on a thread 5 or 10 years from now they don't say: "Wow, he was 20 or 21 years old. What other 20 or 21 year olds were held to the same standard?" and expose a massive double standard.

this **** is gonna be fixed. theres really no point of Mosley winning and he damn near works for GBP. why would he be the one to try to end their hypejob? this is just gonna be a showcase for canelo on PPV card. fixed GBP fight.

No... It only makes cents to put the young Mexican star on a cinco de mayo ppv... That choice of opponent I guess is Gbp way of taking the old dog out in the woods for his last walk..
