Is this fight set? Pretty risky for Canelo at this point. Mosley's reputation is low right now but there's always a chance he pulls is act together. Let's just say Top Rank fighters are curiously unmotivated against Pac, but I don't see Golden Boy 'ask' Shane to be easy on the kid for the extra cash. Dear SNV, did I just indicate that Top Rank fix fights? I believe I did.
This version of mosley hasn't won a fight for 3 years, let alone ko anyone. Shot mosley > shot cintron, shot baldomir and **** hatton. Prime rhodes > shot mosley.
Winner of Kirkland-Molina? Winner of Williams-Ishida? Lara? Vanes?.. Surely all better than a shot-to-**** WW who only won two of his past six fights. Saul Alvarez is becoming a joke, if he isn't already. Disgusting how he gets away with these type of fights, and the WBC stripped guys like Bradley and Martinez right after they defended against top 3 guys. And funny how ripcity applauds this move, but loves to rip Pacquiao for all his recent fights
If you still fell that Saul is a more chalanging oppoent than Cotto then I would say you lack experance in the sport or are just hungry for attition. Maybe is just stress, perhapps you are suposed to just get it relesed, you'll fell a lot better.. On a lighter note, also maybe taking a spelling class could help with the stress!!
Doesn't stop him from being completely shot. Some of Canelo's recent opposition have been in better condition to fight, whether they are inferior or not.
He isn't completely shot. He is a shell of his former self but still fast, strong, accurate with a good chin. He is a step up for Canelo and this is all that this fight is for.
Out with the old and in with the new classical type match up that has been done forever in boxing Shane still has the name and the never been knocked angle going here
this is a fixed fight, wake up gentlemen.Mosley is paying his dues to DLH. Canelo beats another big name(old, fading vet)and his resume gets better on the paper. Meantime, Lara keeps looking for a fight. you gotta love boxing!
It makes great financial sense, bad boxing sense. It makes sense in that it ups Canelo's level of comp to a guy who has been in the ring in recent years with the to 2 p4p guys. Also sets the stage for a potential Mayweather-Alvarez bout. I must admit to being ever so slightly intrigued, because I guess I am not 100% sold on Canelo yet and want to see him against a guy like this. But, I think this is Shane's last bout if he loses, and I think he will. Aside from that though, I am sick of fights like this. There are better fights to be made at 154 for guys who may, incidentally, just may be able to take that title off of Canelo.
A shell of his former self, is that not shot? He twitches and wastes too much energy, he doesn't believe he can win anymore (truthfully). Accurate? Explain. A number of boxers would be a step up for Canelo, a number of shot boxers would be a step up for Canelo, does that mean they should happen? Mosley needs to call it a day. He has become a stepping stone in this bout, it's pretty clear to see. I said from day one that GBP would not stick Canelo in with Mayweather because he is not ready (if ever ready) which is why they are putting him in a bout that is a really good name, and very little chance of upset (which is also why Canelo does not pose more threat to Mayweather than Cotto, Ripcity). Canelo is being brought along slowly, not to develop, but to replace Mayweather and Pacquiao as the name of the sport when they go...that's the plan anyway.
