In an ideal world canelo and kirkland clean out the division over the next 18 months and then golden boy make the biggest ppv fight they have done so far, something on the scale of floyd oscar. If I was the match maker at golden boy I would do anything possible to make it happen, canelo's road to the fight should be cintron, cotto, lara and chavez. Kirkland should fight k9, williams, cotto and whoever wants him after that. Obviously things could go wrong but if it goes to plan I would say canelo vs kirkland would be the biggest fight golden boy can make.

 

If nothing goes wrong... but Kirkland could get KO by any of the opponents that you mentioned and Canelo could face the same fate with Cotto, Lara and Chavez Jr, the only thing Kirkland has on his side is punching power that is all, he will get schooled and probably ko by a good technician with some pop, he doesn't have to have a devastating ko power because Kirkland will supply half of the power with his face first style, and Canelo is unproven fighter that has being protected and carefully matched, still he was on queers street against a Jr ww,

 

The only reason we are talking about Kirkland here is because Angulo ran out of gas, if they fight gain I'll put my money on Angulo's

 

Huge Fight that is why I said that fight is PPV worthy specially if both kept getting built up, I don't see anyone at 154 that could be a PPV worthy fight maybe Cotto/Canelo....

That's boxing anything can happen, but if canelo or kirkland are to be superstars then they will have to fight the likes of lara and cotto. Its all about timing, but the fact that canelo is a world champion so there is a need for him to fight the best because he holds the most prestigous title in the division. Kirkland still is a working progress and the fact that he doesn't have a world title then you can't critisize him like you can canelo. Kirkland for me is willing to fight anyone, it comes down to whether golden boy have the know how to match him against the right fighters, they ****ed it up with both victor oriz and daniel jacobs when they pushed them too early. I have no doubt that lara will get his fight against one of the 2 because you can only become a superstar by beating good fighters which lara is. I would back canelo to beat lara because of laras willingness not to let his hands go, I would expect canelo to outwork him and counter lara which will make lara reduce his output further.

 

Wasn't Lara just a prospect in your dick riding cubans minds I remember reading that **** in the RBR all the cubans were in dissapoitment while everyone was calling it a BS Gift draw for the GBP fighter LARA.

Now he gets an Event win against a war torn williams coming off a big KO loss and was obviously a damaged fighter and he is the second coming of a cuban god LMAO when you bitches were already writing him off as a huge dissapoitment that was still a prospect that needed a lot of work... All the one's that pick canelo actually lay it down why they have canelo, which leads me to believe all they really see is Lara being a superior boxer and that is what will win the fight.... not taking into consideration Canelo is the harder hitter, has the better body work, lets his hands go in combos with accuracy, will be stalking Lara and working the body and countering him, don't get me started on Lara coming in with stamina issues as that will just =TKO for him.... I still see canelo getting the Late TKO win on Lara specially after seeing Lara always coming in bad shape, and not having a different array of punches always see him doing the same things and has no game on the inside which Molina exposed and that is where Canelo does good on the inside. All my opinion and I can't wait for the Lara fight hope it gets made soon...

You can hit the body, throw combos and look like a big puncher when nothing is coming back to you, but when you start missing those combos and getting hit flush on the face, that is when the party start...
