He'd be ducking GGG should he win and not fight GGG, but Canelo is the bigger fight. More people want to see it, it's in higher demand, and it makes Cotto a hell of a lot more money.

GGG is riskier, but Canlelo is bigger. It makes sense to take Canelo first.

Canelo v Cotto would likely do close to 700K buys, whereas GGG vs Cotto wouldnt do 500K. Close, but wouldnt quite get there IMO.:think

Nope. Canelo is a p4p star and is proven at a higher level than Golovkin. Canelo is actually the one man I think that could beat Golovkin. They'd be 50/50.

If cotto faces either canelo or Golovkin next then it's likely to be his toughest ever fight, certainly not a duck.

 

I think Pacquiao was his toughest fight, hands down. Golovkin I'd suspect to be harder though.

I vote no on this. Canelo is a big big money fight. I dont call fighting for way more money ducking. I call fighting lesser opponents for same or less money ducking. If he fights Bradley on regular HBO for HBO money its a duck. GGG would fight on regular HBO with major concessions especially financially on their end.

Fighting Canelo on PPV for much more money is not a duck. Plus he is a former champ at 154, who cant really make 154 easily anymore. So its not like hes fighting a nobody either. I am fine with Canelo fight, its respectable.

 

Canelo is more accomplished than GGG at the moment.

 

It's not a duck, not even close. Very risky fight, but tons of effectivo.

 

I voted no, BUT if he want's to fight guys who are not Middleweights more than once, he should drop the MW title.
