    I agree Canelo beats him.

    Maybe TKO or UD.

Cotto will have to absorb some punishment. And I have a feeling canelo will be able to walk through cottos punches due to the weight difference.

I really think Canelo has this in the bag

Yeah, just like he was going to get brutalized by Martinez. And don't go with the shot knees theory, they might not have been 100%, but they were good enough to at least go past the first round, that is until that left hook found his temple. I'm not saying Martinez had no shot or that Cotto beats him either way, but had he not got caught with that punch, it would have been a different fight. Canelo and anyone else including Cotto is subject to the same fate, one well placed punch changes a fight completely. It has happened time and time again and it will continue to happen as long as there is boxing going on.

While Canelo is a vastly more experienced fighter now, I have noticed a regression with him over the past few years. The Canelo that fought Lara was not better than the Canelo that Cintron. In fact, Canelo's defense and stamina might be worse now, than in late 2011. Canelo's defense was virtually nonexistent in the Mayweather fight, as Mayweather was basically hitting him at will. Plus, Canelo does not appear to be as sharp. In the Lara fight, Canelo was missing wildly on his uppercuts, and was getting frustrated.

Back in the real world, this fight will be like Canelo/Mosely(with Cotto playing the SSM role, of course).:deal

    Cotto is no Laran.

The predictions will be all over the place on this one. That's just one of the many reasons this fight needs to take place.

Cotto is a better boxer and punches hard even at middleweight, Canelo is stronger and fresher, both are equally fast, both are very good body hitters Canelo trow almost every time with bad intentions, Cotto is more precise puncher, This fight is really close if Cotto where more fresher i would pick him more easily but not, is a 50/50 fight.

Cotto would get kill by Canelo uppercuts. Canelo is no shot handicap fighter he would get a wrost beating than his father Trout gave him.
