Cotto definitely doesn't have anywhere close to stamina to run a marathon like Lara did. Canelo's combination punching and body work will have Cotto skipping backwards by the 5th round.
cottos going to control the pace make it his fight control the ring jab the **** out of canelo will have the superior footwork superior at cutting the ring off and more experience...he will school canelo
cutting the ring makes no difference on this fight, cottos ego is too big to be running circles like lara did, cotto will engage with canelo and take a punishment ala margo... canelo is a better counterpuncher than trout and he will have a feast with cotto... too fast too strong...
Do you guys agree that Cotto/Canelo is the second biggest PPV fight that can be made in boxing next to Mayweather/Pacquiao? I have been saying this since Cotto defeated Martinez and Oscar just stated the same thing recently. You have the Puerto Rican/Mexican classic rivalry. They are both coming off wins over quality opposition. Cotto's win was a lot more convincing but Canelo is a superstar with a growing fan base. Cotto has been a top 3 PPV star for years. Someone else I know thinks Mayweather/Cotto II would be bigger. I think both fights are huge but the only way Mayweather/Cotto II would be bigger than Cotto/Canelo is right now would be if Cotto defeated Canelo and then went on to rematch Floyd. Agree or disagree?
I believe right now, here are my top ppv fights. Mayweather vs. Pacquiao Cotto vs. Canelo & Mayweather vs. Cotto are tied for #1 spot. Mayweather challenging for Middleweight Tittle would be huge! Other PPV's they could make! Mayweather vs. Broner = Yes, that would be a very good fight, and Broner at least has the tool set to do something. Would pay to see that.... Canelo vs. Chavez Jr. = Team Canelo said the other day they are willing but at 160.
Marquez-Pacquiao 5 imo, but that's in limbo or won't happen anytime soon. But yea 4 right now it's definitely Canelo-Cotto.
Cotto is ducking by fighting canelo and by buying these fights we will continue to mean big fights won't be made
