If anyone thinks TWO boxing PPVs will be broadcast on the same night then they are delusional.

The broadcasters will only air ONE PPV and in all likely hood it will be Mayweather...

No. Pacquiao is still the second biggest draw in boxing.

I hope he fights Pac too, but we really need to see if Pac can get past Algeri first. Nothing is certain.

If he gets past Algeri though, Mayweather has to fight Pacquaio or

First of all, people are giving Mayweather too much credit. Showtime has to sign off on the fight date.

You think Showtime is going to sign off for a Floyd fight date when Cotto and Canelo is on the table? NO WAY.

They don't care if Floyd cries. They won't lose money over Floyd's ego.

They have already lost money due to Floyd's ego

If I were HBO I would go through with Cotto-Canelo without question, they have the advertising angle of being a true Cinco De Mayo celebration with an all Latino main event. The current best possible Mex-PR rivalry, and just be sure to come up with a catchy title for the event, like, "fiesta of fights" a cinco celebration night. All they have to do is remind people the excitement of Hispanic fights, and keep pushing it's a celebration of Hispanic's night. Overshadowing Floyd with the natural advantages of having the best Hispanics fighting on an Hispanic celebration night involving the biggest rivalry should be very achievable.

He don't have to worry about dates, he gets 32 million per fight regardless

As long as he doesn't have to share a fight date with another mega fight at the same time. Especially if he's gonna fight a no hoper under Mayweather rules.

Look at this bozo and his ***** logic!

Just cause Floyd beat Canelo he thinks everyone is entitled to watch Mayweather vs TBA over Canelo vs Cotto. :rofl

There is only one fight bigger than Canelo vs Cotto (PPV wise) and we know that it ain't happening. But go ahead and think Floyd CATCHweather has this one in the bag.

This. Don't think he's gonna fight someone like Garcia and somehow showtime is just going to approve it while a fight like Cotto vs. Alvarez is happening the same day.

One thing people are forgetting is that no matter what numbers he brings he has a 32 million dollar purse guaranteed no matter what if I am not mistaken

Yeah. But showtime isn't stupid enough to have a Mayweather fight card against a jober while a huge super fight for a title is happening the same night on another network. Do u realize giving him 32 million under those circumstances isn't gonna **** some showtime execs off? Best thing is to not have him fight that night regardless if he has a ***** fit or not

Basically like others are saying, since Showtime knows that have pay Floyd 32 they will want to maximize their profits and not eat into them by competing with an HBO mega fight.
