I like Cotto but he's just too much of a diva, truth be told I actually prefer watching Cotto matches to GGG's, but I'm just calling it like I think it'll happen GGG is too much for Canelo and definitely too much Cotto.

Cotto can fight from distance. You think he just satyed on the inside with Martinez the whole time?? He was moving good and caught Martinez with that left hook from distance.

Yes Cotto got hur tby Mayweather, plenty of fighters have. and theres no doubt GGG can hurt Cotto. my thing is im pretty sure Cotto can hurt GGG. GGG will never have fought anybody with power like Cotto has. doesnt mean he can get KO but when somebody feels your power it can change things quick. Plus Cotto's defense has been on point since Roach. GGG's defense ia alright at best. all in all Cotto-GGG sounds like a CLASSIC!!

I think GGG-Canelo would be a great fight too. Heres the thing, im not saying GGG cant beat these guys because i defintely think he can. You just never know hows hes gonna do against top flight competiton. thats the onlu thing we ALL wonder about GGG. Canelo got mad combos! GGG could be in there with Canelo hitting him with 4 pieces then steppin aside. we just dont know.

Using the Martinez example? Come on dude... do you think I just started watching boxing? Martinez is shot...that is a fact. GGG is slow, but he can corner guys on the ropes. Possibly Cotto can hurt him...but DEFINITELY GGG can hurt Cotto. I think for 1 round GGG looks like a lost plodder, but unless GGG miraculously lands zero shots, Cotto is getting put to sleep. This is a bad matchup for him. A guy like Ward with all his holding is a nightmare for GGG, not Cotto. A big puncher with a good chin could KO GGG too... but not Cotto IMO.

Maybe but that's a huge maybe that Cotto could land something massive, but I doubt it. The reality is, put the facial damage incurred in the Margarito and Pacquiao losses aside look what damage a featherfist like Trout did to Cotto's face when they fought.
GGG hits as hard as a HW, and the reality is Martinez couldn't punch properly the damage to his lead knee was so extensive he couldn't get the proper leverage to set down on his punches, if he had you know as well as I that Cotto Martinez would have looked differently. GGG has no such problems and Cotto is not hard to hit. It will be a Bloodbath. Sorry.:-(

Rubio was flatfooted that's why he got creamed by GGG ... Cotto will use the ring more , in and out / side to side movement against GGG.

...we will see if GGG is good in cutting off the ring if the fight happens

Yeah I don't see how you look at this matchup and give Cotto much of a chance. It's possible but not probable.

Im using the martinex example because he did fight a crusier weight in Chavez so ppl said no way a small guy like Cotto can hurt him. if he was so shot how come u didnt pick him to beat Martinez??:lol: How come most of the world said Cotto would get destroyed?? just saying bro. everybody loves to say somebodys shot after a fighter wins. Plus a shot fighter doesnt mean his chin his shot. Cotto has showed he can hurt a middle weight, thatsa fact!

Like I said I love some GGG but how can u say Cotto isnt a bad match up for him?? Has GGG fought anybody like Cotto at all....NOPE! So you just dont know hows hes gonna react to a HOF fighter with great skills. I wanna believe GGG can handle it but we all just dont know. sorry Rubio, Geale, that dude he fought in Monte Carlo this (dont even know his name lol) are nothing compared to Cotto at all.

I give Cotto a a great chance because hes fought the best and knows what to do. I can see GGG KO cotto cold and I can see Cotto making GGG look stuip bro. no lie.

I didn't know just how shot Sergio really was otherwise I wouldn't have picked him. There are weight divisions for a reason I think Rubio, and Geale would have beaten Cotto as well, Cotto is just too small for MW nothing more, especially when he suffers against light punchers like Floyd and Trout.

you still say hes to small but hes MW king:lol:

Yes hes small but hes fought there and is the king right now.

Also thats what im saying. You cant just say the man was shot after a fight. Martinez just cant hang with Cotto's skills at all! I dont care if that man had 2 healthy legs, Cotto was just to skilled for that man. and thats the thing withGGG. GGG should KO Cotto but you dont know how hes gonna do against HOF skills.

    we shall see

I get what you are saying... Cotto is a better boxer and been in with better...no arguments. I just think that Golovkins conditioning, power and volume will be the key.

Btw... in regards to Martinez, not many saw him coming out and looking that flat. If the knee wasn't a problem, he wouldn't have seen the best knee specialist in the US...and now he has basically retired. IMO he lied about the knee to get a huge payday. Kudos to Roach who predicted Sergio would not recover. The fans got the shaft that night.
