When Alexis Arguello tried to become the first fighter in history to win 4 titles in different weight classes, he was offered to fight one of the paper champions in the 140 lbs division as to ensure he'd bank the 4th title.
Arguello did'nt accept that and he word for word said, "It would be a slap in the face to every fighter before me who tried and failed to win a 4th title if I dont capture it against Aaron Pryor."


Unfortunately for boxing, there are no more gentlemen like Alexis Arguello who had true respect for the sport and others that came before him! :-(

Fight records that are broken these days mean diddly squat.

Nice way to kill the two biggest fights. Floyd and Haymon are like mustache twirling villains.

 

What will your opinion of him be?

Will you still hold him in high regard or will you boycott his fights until he faces Manny or Khan?

There's literally ZERO demand for a Cotto rematch. And it'd be Floyd's SECOND rematch in a year (the hell?!).

I know my support for Floyd is cracking big time...though, I'm not actually an active fan of his but have supported his decisions here a lot over the last somewhat years.

I think it would be a good fight but an easy way to the title. Also, he should fight Pac first or the Cotto fight wont mean anything.

 

My opinion will stay as it is:

he's a cherrypicking fraud

same goes if he fights overrated Khan or anyone else at welter other than Pacquiao

 

Idk why people want to see him fight Khan and Other than Pac idc for any other fight just like i wont watch Pac vs Varas either

 

nobody wants to see Floyd fighting Khan aside from brits and flomos,

that's because they know Floyd will most likely fight the glass jawed/ brained bloke next

they're trying to hype Khunt into something he isn't and lying about the actual amount of demand for this fight:tired

 

What happened to Floyd saying he accepted Pac's challenge?
