For one, it could be easily argued to the win didn't make Bradley a 'star'. And Bradley's star power is only meaningful to Top Rank and is irrelevant in relation to a Mayweather/Pac fight.

Secondly, banking on a fighter's popularity to remain at the same level after a loss, especially one who is one half of what everyone acknowledges is THE biggest in boxing, is a really fugging stupid and inexcusable risk to take for both the fighter and his promotional company.

Lastly, Pac popularity DID suffer with the loss (including the KO). And the fervor for the fight is just now, 3 Pac fights later, getting back to pre-losses levels.

 

Floyd has been fighting on that date for the past several years. Floyd fights obviously make more money. If anything, that date belongs to Floyd.

 

i don't believe he's ducking anyone he's just chasing the most money he can get and if he's able to beat Mayweather he'll clearly be the A side on a following fight or he might just call it a career

 

Apparently the fight has stalled because Canelo wants a 50/50 split but Cotto feels he deserves a higher split. Some people call this ducking.

these guys are waiting for duckweather to make his mind up but they should know by now he is not gonna fight manny pacquaio...................he is scared of him..............

Well you have to Remember... Richard Shaeffer offered Cotto everything, conceded on everything to make the Cotto fight and that was before Cotto was middleweight Champion.

Why should Cotto now do 50/50 and accept anything less than what Richard Shaeffer offered Cotto?

If anything it should be more now....

We may Call Cotto Diva sometimes but he is doing something that only Mayweather does and that is negotiate his own deal.

Not to mention that DLH has no room to talk on difficult negotiations. He made picked gloves, ring size, purse, weight, sponsors and everything for the Mayweather bout and Mayweather accepted it.
