Cotto exceeded the deadline (x5 apparently) Canelo's team gave him. This seriously sucks.

How can they have a deadline when it's not even known if Floyd Pac is going down, and actually looks like it more likely will be? Were they actually planning on going through with Cotto Canelo no matter if Floyd Pac were fighting on the same day, the answer is either no way, or stupid move.

 

I'm hoping this is just Canelo's team trying to push the issue or position themselves better at the bargaining table. Terrible tactic if true but they'd be fools to walk away this prematurely.

if the mayeweather vs Pac fight gets sealed then canelo will be fighting in an arena with 500 ppl

 

Bah! Floyd cotto 2 ain't the worst fight on earth it will be entertaining and it will do well as a PPV but it ain't nearly as interesting as either cotto canelo or Floyd manny. Is their anyone that Canelo could fight that would actually beat it to take the May 2nd date.

Maybe only Manny? Even GGG wouldn't draw in enough casuals yet to win a ppv battle with Floyd and Cotto.

OK, so let's think, this takes Cotto's "I got a potential Canelo fight" play away from Cotto and announces it to Floyd, making Floyd harder to negotiate with. So it helps Floyd and hurts Cotto, making it harder for Cotto to deal with Floyd, and easier for them to deal with Cotto...yeah, I guess it's the right play for DLH.
