Cotto needs to set his feet to land meaningfulm punches just like Canelo. Canelo is more explosive, has faster more powerful combinations.

Cotto was at his strongest at 147. At 154 and 160 I doubt Cotto brings the power we were use to seeing him with at 147. Alvarez is naturally bigger and stronger, I don't understand how you cant see that.

I think you're over hyping Cotto based of the Martinez fight alone.

Cotto has a worse reputation of gassing than Canelo, and as of Canelo's last fight, his stamina looked superb for 12 rounds, despite having to chase and jog his opponent down.

    Clottey
    Paulie
    Mosley
    Mayorga
    Judah
These men he struggled with in his prime and barely defeated Clottey and Mosley. These are some of his "best" wins.

Foreman, Margarito and Martinez, were all crippled fighters, that he doesn't deserve full credit for.

Cotto is the most overrated fighter in this era, Cotto would be outboxed or KO'd by everybody on my list.

Just because he made Floyd look bad for a few rounds, that must mean he is an ATG right because Floyd would never look bad against an average fighter would he. You hype Cotto to make Floyd look better.

I never said Cotto was stationary, only far more stationary than Lara. Although he is really good at jogging backwards like he did with Tony and PAc.

I didn't say Canelo is anything like Margo, but Canelo's combo punching and body work would have Cotto backpedaling the same way he did with Tony.
He had Lara riunning scared more than anyone I've seen him fight including Angulo who dropped him twice. Is it that hard for people to admit sometimes fighters do improve and Canelo has improved quite alot since the Mayweather fight, maybe he has learned from his mistakes, and hasn't been as weight drained.

I would pay to see this fight..

And that is saying something, because I have not bought a PPV in a while.

I think their styles would make for a great fight.

Same as Margarita who drained the hell out of himself to avoid the Super Welters!!!

Opie was rocked by Jose who never put in 3 full weeks training in between partying.

Opie has not improved his defense, lateral movement nor jab among many other things!!!

    Overrated for sure!!!

Canelo may be overrated, but so is Cotto.
So far Canelo has been rocked exactly once, then he stopped Jose in round 9.
Cotto on the other hand has been stopped twice or are in such denial that you pretend to not acknowledge that, and outboxed twice once by Trout who Canelo struggled with, but was far more successful against than Cotto.

You might want to add that Cotto has also chickened danced against Demarcus "Pillow Fists" Corley, Ricardo Torres, Antonio Margarito, Zab Judah.

Cotto has also quit on his knees.

Not taking anything away from Cotto, just stating the FACTS some chooe to ignore.

That's what happens when blind fanboys are in a state of denial, FACTS don't resonate. Cotto's best untarnished win to date may be Paulie Malignaggi, and he even struggled with him.

Clottey and Mosley IMO beat him.

A bit of a contradiction there...you're appealing to facts yet you end off stating an utter factual lie!!!

I've seen some of these Cotto fanboys claim that Canelo would gas out, and that Cotto would capitalize on that, yet for years Cotto has been gassing after the 9th and Canelo just showed he can go 12 rounds strong.

I'm not a blind fanboy of anybody including Canelo who I've criticized before and think would be destroyed by GGG, who I've also criticized.

The Clottey and Mosley fights were close I thought they both did enough to win barely. They weren't clear victories for Cotto if that's what you implying, and if you think they were you are in denial.
