Smart move by GBP. This means the fight is much more likely to happen!

The WBC mandated a 55-45 split and a 160lb limit. By vacating the belt, GBP can push for a better split. GGG is clearly the smaller draw and can probably live with a much smaller percentage.

Plus since the belt automatically goes to GGG, Alvarez is still fighting for the belt. So nothing changes except Alvarez gets a much better payday, which he totally deserves since he's the bigger draw AND a considerable underdog.

Where the hell does it say that the split was 55-45 ?!?...it would have gone to purse bid where it have been rougly 70-30 in Nelo's favor...see the Wilder purse bid split...ARE YOU ALL RE!Tar#ed ??

    Fine then 70-30 or whatever.

They won't let GGG make more than 2mil + PPV points. Alvarez will get 18mil guarantee or no fight. 90-10 split sounds about right.

Why would he fight Monroe Jr again?? The fight wasn't close? There is no reason for a rematch.
