Now this is a fight i would like to see Chavez get in the ring with. I watch some of Alvarez fights and i must say he's a fighter that can give Chavez Jr nightmares. It's time for Chavez to finally step up to the plate and fight real fighters. Alvarez have wanted to fight Chavez Jr but Chavez i guess don't feel the same way. If they fight around 2010 my money is on Alvarez by ko.
Canelo by stoppage. It's funny how Jr. says he's ready for Pacman when he's at 160 and clearly not close to being ready, while Canelo is much better prepared and disciplined and humbly has stated he is not ready for a fight with a fighter of Pacquiao's caliber, but within a year or so he would love a fight with the Pacman. When asked about Alvarez, Chavez, Jr. claims he doesn't know the guy. You can tell who's the smarter and who has the real future of the 2. Alvarez doesn't rely on a name to make him a great fighter one day, he uses his fists.
Alvarez KO1. I would actually like to see it, for no reason other than to get Chavez Jr. exposed to his Mexican fans ASAP for the garbage fighter he truely is. Chavez Jr. is the biggest joke to boxing since Joe Mesi. It would be a great platform for a coming out party for Alvarez, since Chavez has such an immense Mexican following.
Canelo was actually on tv the other day for an interview. I actually got to catch it. He does seem like a smart kid. Very confident. He says in 2-3 fights he will be ready for Pacman. Also interesting fact. He was a really good soccer player and they were looking at getting him drafted to the pro soccer leagues.
He is in college studying psychology. He actually said he has no desire to fight Chavez as he is not a worthy opponent. Chavez Jr. is sad... he actually has gotten worse with time.
When a fighter goes into a fight knowing its going to be fixed. He has no hunger to become better. I gave up on the Chavez brothers when i found out Omars fights were being fixed...
I doubt Jr fights him. This is who Jr would fight: http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=248966&cat=boxer
**** that, He drew with the beast Carson Jones that is way to dangerous for Jr. On a side note about Carson Jones, Why the hell did Bob Arum pick that ****er to face Antonio Margarito. He drew against someone who was 17-7. I mean Bob, at least try to look like you are giving good fights.
Alvarez is clearly the better fighter but the weight difference means it'll never happen. How many of those diuretics would Chavez have to take to make 147?!? I think everyone, even Chavez' fans, realise that he's not a very good fighter. He'll continue fighting bums on Top Rank PPVs as long as they keep making money, unfortunately.
