Khan Facts: -Khan has no punch resistance. He's been down at 135, 140, and 147. -Khan's 9 knockdowns have all come in the first half of fights. -Every fighter who's dropped Khan has been smaller and less-skilled than Alvarez. -Collazo is the only real welterweight that Khan has faced. -Alvarez will be only the second fighter Khan has faced with a KO ratio over 57%. -Khan is not the sort of distance/timing expert that Mayweather, Trout, Lara, and Cotto are. He's actually not highly skilled at all. -Khan is noticeably slower and clumsier at 147 than he was at 140. Watch the Algieri fight and the Garcia fight for comparisons. -Khan is coming off a 1 year layoff. Alvarez Facts: -Alvarez is a much better puncher than anyone Khan has fought (Maidana's knockouts came almost exclusively at 140). -Alvarez has a similar power-counterpunching style to Garcia. He likes to punch with you, hard and in combination. -Alvarez isn't a fast starter, but he has plenty of stoppages in the first half of fights. -Alvarez outboxed Cotto, who was faster in that fight than Khan was against Algieri. Cotto is also a much better fighter than Khan in all aspects of the game. Alvarez didn't start punching with him until round 3. Conclusions: -Khan has no chance to win. He isn't a better boxer or athlete than Alvarez. -Khan has no chance to last the distance. His ring IQ, footwork, defense, and chin are not good enough. He's also at a massive size disadvantage (15-20lb) and doesn't have the power to keep Alvarez honest. -Khan has very little chance to see round 7. -The fight will most likely end in round 1-4. Prediction: -I'm calling round 3. Alvarez will start punching with him by round 2 and time him in round 3.
I downloaded Khanage and I can't beat the fake Canelo on it. I give him until round 4. Canelo gasses too easy to let Khan last any longer.
