If Kovalev redeems himself he is going to built a superior legacy. Maybe he wins this rematch or goes on a three year undefeated streak before losing to a washed up yet undefeated Beterbiev by viscious first round KO.

Beterbiev will be too busy nursing the badly broken temple Callum Johnson hands him to be concerned with getting a match with the Krusher.

I think Kovalevs flaws have been magnified a bit, if he admits he has flaws corrects his stamina and pacing issues he does have a chance though I see it similar to Stevenson vs Jack where I felt Stevenson did just enough to hold his belt. Kovalev early ko could happen too, he had Alvarez hurt in round 4 fairly badly, I didn't think Alvarez was going down but he was hurting him, Kovalev then just seemed to gas. he never recovered from round 4 and round 5 and 6 were close rounds Kovalev won but Kovalev was being hit the the body and FLINCHED so much, and then alvarez jabbed him to the body and BOOM.

I have no opinion of either since both their resumes suck as pros. and as amatuers they were both really good. I assume Beterbiev will be a heavy favourite, but alavraz was a massive enough underdog for me to put 50 on an outright win. (I picked Kovalev decision for first fight)

Is it a given that a rematch will happen?

Unfortunately Harolds score cards are so consistently bad it’s almost hard for me to keep the volume on when he’s working a fight.
