So who do you think would win? I think this is a pretty even match up and a very exciting one to watch. The stars aren't aligned for the fight yet, but hopefully it comes through. I'm not sure if they are the best at 154, but they are definitely the best tacticians at the weight. I wouldn't mind seeing them fight Martinez afterwards.
Great post! I think Avarez is heavy handed and a great combination puncher but Lara has a way better pedigree and those skills would pay the bills. Lara by unanimous decision.
I think Lara, but I think it depends on if the judges and ref were paid off. Golden boy won't put Alvarez in there with Lara any time soon.
Alvarez by decision. Lara fights one punch at a time, Alvarez is one of the best combination punchers in the game.
i think if lara can improve his workrate late he can win this fight. he is far more complete than people give him credit for. Shields is doing good work with him
Nice! I was surprised. I thought the majority would favor Lara. I personally think Lara is a bit more skilled, but Alvarez is not far off. I think the difference in the fight would be Alvarez punching power and it would show in the exchanges. I pick Alvarez by a close but clear UD.
Alvarez late tko or by UD now.. but if Lara fixes his stamina problems and increases his work rate it would be a great fight that would probably a close clear UD for alvarez.
Lara will spank that a$$ like is no tomorrow, too much experience and boxing skills, GBP will keep Lara, Angulo and Vanes away from another green cash cow that doesn't deserved the belt he is wearing, you can say all you want, specially the Cuban haters, they know who they are, but Canelo is just a prospect made Champion by the Mexican media and GBP, he is a good looking kid with charisma and they are exploiting those attributes, but make no mistake they are a least 8 or 9 fighters that could and should win if he ever step up and fight those guys.

Canelo will tko Lara late in the fight.. where Lara fades and is gasping for air canelo will unleash combos and bombs that would make Lara wish he actually had stamina to go hard for 12 rounds.. all imo you or iI may be wrong... can't wait for canelo to prove me right.
