Watchin alvarez vs cotto then ortiz vs cambell , i think these two would make a good fight , who do you guys see winning ?
Depends on what version of each fighter we get...I like Alvarez but Ortiz has size and nice power in both hands...I get the feeling that Ortiz would be able to handle Alvarez, but it will be entertaining throughout.
Ortiz, more experience. but even then im kinda feeling alvarez, i really didnt feel vic last time he came out, he was too cautious... limiting his offense will kill his greatest strengths
Most might go with Alvarez, but ill have to see a bit more from him..... i like him, and for his age hes right on, but as of right now id take Ortiz. I like Alvarez more, and hope he can continue to grow as a fighter, and both these guys are far from the finished product, but id take Ortiz to outpoint Alvarez at this point in time. Answer might change after a few more fights, im strictly going off of right now.
I bet my highly valuable vCash on Ortiz by stoppage against Campbell. The way he seemed without any sense of urgency bothered me. I think he could've had him gone without much risk if he'd wanted to. He's going down a different road or he's fulfilling his persona as an unpredictable fighter.
It was a middling performance by him. I don't wanna see ortiz turn into a shelled up stay safe fighter. He needs to capitalize on his natural strength, his power. Learn some head movement. Raise his work rate. SWARM, for god's sake.
Ill go Alv good chin great offensive variety especially those uppercuts on the inside and a good defens plus Alv has the size advantage
I think Ortiz stops him as long as he boxes like he did against Campbell. He's faster, more elusive and has decent power. Alvarez is more powerful and does have the ability to create openings but I think Ortiz either wins a clear UD or stops him late
ortiz by a stoppage, although alvarez has had more pro fights id stiull favour ortiz he has better skills and power at this time and alvarez is too green. maybe in 18 months might be different
Id have to see Alvarez one more time against a decent opponent. Some of what he did against Cotto tells me he outlast ORtiz in a shoot out and breaks him down late, but another part of that fight tells me hed get caught by Ortiz and finished off. Ortiz didnt get the Ko in his last fight like i thought he would but he did box nice. As of right know i might lean towards Ortiz but i might change my mind on that one.
