Anything is possible since GGG is even older this time, but GGG and Kovalev are completely different. Kovalev tried to get by on and his talent and power alone, which did take him far, but by refusing to listen and learn from the coaches he had he limited himself as a fighter. GGG has a lot of dimensions to his game when his power isn't enough to get the job done.

Canelo took several of the early rounds against GGG by using his handspeed and going to the body. Instead of not adapting like Kovalev GGG started using his jab and completely controlled the pace of the fight for the last 6-7 rounds and had Canelo's back against the ropes. I think GGG deserved the decision, but after re-watching the fight I can see how some could score it as a draw, since Canelo was still landing shots from time to time even with his back pinned to the ropes.
