Which is why I'm not against this Clottey fight even though I don't like Clottey. I see Canelo-Cotto or Canelo-Kirkland down the road anyway.
Smart move to keep one fight off PPV a year.. I always thought that was a smart play for any up and coming fighter trying to make a name on PPV
And if this guy is to become the face of boxing after Pac and FMJ shuffle off to the old folks home that may be pretty good for boxing. He'll take on everyone, he'll fight 3x a year, including a non PPV fight, he's an exciting puncher, he could use a personality, tho, and I CANNOT understand why GBP hasn't had him learn English yet.
You get KO contract or not you're not fighting 3 times ,the problem Canelo is going to have is this made up 155 ,next it will be 156. You can't make weight you go to the next division .. True boxing fans will see this.
its kinda laughable when we give a heroes praise for a guy that plans on fighting "3" times in 1 year.
I agree. A lot of haters seem to want him to fight a difficult style match up every fight. They all said he'd avoid Trout and Lara and he didn't. Now he's a ducker because he's not fighting Andrade, because he's building toward a Cotto fight. And he's gone on record saying he would be willing to fight Golovkin after Cotto. I have no reason not to believe him.
I don't even know where to start with how laughable the idea that someone could be ducking Andrade is having already fought Trout and Lara. Andrade is a step down from them, a sizable one. Lara >> Trout >>>> Andrade (maybe not the current version of Trout, but the one Canelo fought surely)
