I'm leaning more and more to Provo. Too much activity and pop in his punches. I don't think Alvarado will be able to outbox him all night long.

I wouldn't say Alvarado fights the same way every time, there was contrast in the two Rios fights but I do understand what you're saying; he is a pretty simple fighter who doesn't bring a lot of variation to the table.

That said I think he learned quite a bit from the first Rios fight. I expect to MA to spend the majority of the fight boxing and taking rounds. There will be exchanges but I don't think it is automatic that Provo wins these exchanges. I expect a grueling fight but I'll stand by this fight going to a decision.

To me you just can't go to another hard fight after two wars just to much to overcome .

This fight is a hometown fight for Alvarado. Provodnikovs fight against Bradley was at 147 so he's coming down in weight. I personally think Alvarado can outbox provodnikov inside and out. Easy fight to pick.

Top rank loves Alvarado. If he can punch, run, and hold his way to decision over rios who is far more skilled then prov what makes anyone think he can't do it against prov? Herrera outboxed the **** outta prov at 140.

I'm not sure. The stiffed him on the Pac fight and then lead him into what will be probably another war. As far as I know he was forced to fight Provo.

I'm surprised so many experts and fans are picking Alverado. He went life and death with Presscot for much of their fight. Then he fights Rios who was moving up from 135. Rios was outboxed countless times during his fights only to overpower guys in the end at LW. Meanwhile Bradely is a thousand times better of a boxer than Alvarado and he barely makes it through that war with Provodnikov. If Ruslan can force a war with Bradely, he'll have a very good chance doing so with Mike as well.

I think alvarado wins this one. he's the more dynamic fighter. he can actually box. although I expect him to stand his ground and literally fight provodnikov off, because he will have to, I expect he will elect to box for the bout. povodnikov put bradley through the ringer, but bradley elected to fight that way to prove a point. it would have been a much easier fight if he boxed. furthermore, bradley is a relatively light hitter. alvarado is a pretty big puncher. we'll see. i'm going with alvarado by decision in a spectacular fight. i'm rooting for the siberian rocky though

I slightly favour Provodnikov. I just think there is little point over-complicating this fight.

Alvarado may box rather than brawl to start with, but unless he gets Ruslan out of there early he will be forced to trade. Simple. Will Mike get him out of there early? No.

Ultimately this one will come down to sheer chin and balls. And I think as tough as Alvarado is, Provodnikov is a level above in this department.
