What is Alvarado an all time great?

He BEARLY outboxed a punching bag in Rios.

Now Alvarado is this "Master Boxer"?:-(

Provodnikov was robbed against Bradley and damn near killed him!

Alvarado is going to be staring into a pen light before the 10 round.:dead

I'm picking Alvarado. I really think he dictates how this fight goes. His boxing skills are just good enough to offset Provo.

My issue is when a boxer is the "hometown favorite". They tend to over do it and end up losing. This is almost like Garcia-Matthysee. Alvarado's heart is almost like Garcia's knack of finding a way to win in fights he was expected to lose. Boxing is a funny sport, where styles make fights. Bradley won the fight with Ruslan when he boxed. The fight was only close when he stood toe to toe. This is a pickem fight, I agree with the previous poster who said if Alvarado boxes, he has a chance. If he tries to slug it out, this guy is naturally bigger and a big puncher. I can see Alvarado being out on his feet and making some kind of comeback several times during the fight. Prescott had him beat to hell and he came out of no where to win that one.

If Mike boxes and moves he's got this. If he goes toe to toe he doesn't.

I think Ruslan hits harder than Rios and mike had issues at the scale just saying.

I wouldn't exactly consider throwing a combo, running, and holding out boxing someone.

People talking like if Alvarado start brawling then it's a given he'll get knocked out are daft.

Alvarado is a warrior himself, brawling is his bread and butter, he's not some vulnerable weakling who can't handle himself in a tear up, he mixed it up against Rios and was starting to take control of the first fight before he got caught with a big shot and was stopped prematurely, he's never been down in his career and has got a great chin, plus he packs a fair bit of power himself.

Alvarado beats Ruslan, Tim Bradley bust up and hurt Ruslan on a few occasions so I definitely think Alvarado can do the same.

Ruslan's good but people on here are overrating him, as they do with a lot of fighters who are all out action fighters (Matthysse)

Alvarado looks like he's been using some of Heisenberg's blue stuff in the weigh-in pictures. I was leaning towards him since he's acclimated to Colorado altitude, but he looks pretty drained.
