I thought he pulled it out, but as a big Lombard fan I can say I don't care.... I was expecting a lot more, and he performed as a guy who thought he could cruise by and win a decision since he's the next big thing.
I do hope this ignites him to fight like a hungry guy again. I know his competition was a lot less in Bellator, but i'll be damned if he couldn't have done a lot more! He didn't look that fraustrated, seriously gassed, or anything. Just looked to me like a guy who wanted to cruise to a decision

You can't ever "perform" like that and then claim afterwards that you got robbed. The correct decision would have been an L on both of their records. :smoke

'"robbed" is not the correct term, he could have won but it was a matter of which fighter did less. Boetsch didn't do much besides a handfull of leg kicks and a few front kicks, lombard threw a few punches a couple td's in which Tim got right back up.

one thing I noticed is in between rounds HL's corner was telling him he was doing great bla bla bla. Why do corners tell their fighters they are doing great when the exact opposite is true.....I simply don't understand how lying to your fighter helps.....they should have been yelling at him to do more.

Though I thought Boetsch won the fight, he's going to be the most overinflated fighter in the UFC now. He was fortunate that Okami ****ed up a fight he was winning easily and now Lombard barely shows up. He's' going to get another top contender in his next fight and he'll be a massive, massive underdog. I can't think of any top five guy I'd pick him to beat at this point.

I had Lombard 2-1 but both put in no-showings. Abysmal fight.

This is how I saw it.

Tim is wayyyyyy in over his head now. He has to be one of the luckiest "Top" guys out there at the moment!

If Tim isn't careful he's going to accidentaly find himself in the cage with Anderson.

Lombard was the one being hyped to high heaven by people who'd only seen his highlight reels. What we saw last night is what Lombard generally looks like if his opponents make it to the later rounds after his initial onslaught.

If Lombard has another fight like that, he's definitely getting cut. Dude's shaping up to be the biggest UFC bust since Denis Kang.

I'd say this fight is comparable to Shields/Kampmann, except Shields actually got the decision in his fight. Both guys came in on big streaks (Shields far, far more quality) with a lot of hype and disappointed greatly in their debuts.

Both fighters were pathetic. The only clear round was rd 2 which Lombard won. Neither fighter really did anything in rds 1 or 3 but I guess Tim did a little extra work in those rds and got the nod.

Robbed maybe the wrong term i agree

But like i said i don't think Boetsch done enough , and i think what Lombard did in terms of significance over quantity , was enough , just my opinion , and yes good point 2nd para , very good point
