World amateur bronze medalist means that you are skilled fighter. Froch is skilled, but he does get nervous, he is slow at the elite level and he is not elusive enough for the style he would like to employ.

I don't think anyone should be considered crazy for thinking that Froch loses this fight early, but I don't think he will. I think that froch will stop kessler late or beat him by close UD. Froch can fight different styles, even if they are fairly basic at this level - see Pascal fight, when he goes from toe-to-toe merchant to actually using his advantages as a distance puncher - and Kessler has shown twice that he struggles once opponents change style and can handle his power.

I don't doubt that Froch loses heavily to Ward, gets beaten in a Dirrell rematch (nothing wrong with the scoring of the first fight under boxing's rounds system, but I know that dirrell showed that he is a better boxer and would fix things second time around) and maybe struggles with Abraham's defence (I still think that Froch's timing will be good enough to get him through a tight, rather than reflex-based, defence), but I don't think Kessler, particularly now, has what it takes to defeat a man with an excellent jab (the low hands help this) and accurate, fairly heavy handed punches against the European style.

I can see Froch getting stopped on his feet late...but no, Kessler will not KO him early. It's not Kessler's style and Froch is double tough.

You are not crazy at all. Seriously, just look at their skill level, Froch is slow, flat footed, with no defense.
Froch ain't getting past the 8th round.

Well better hope Kessler makes him rethink his style. Lord help him if he meets Arthur Abraham fighting like that. Talk about a guy getting his chin checked. That is going to be UGLY!

It is called brain damage my friend. Complex organs don't heal too well. The brain is the most complex of all. Repeated head trauma takes its toll.

A guy is still characteristically "tough", but he doesn't have the physical health to back it up.

Kessler by knock out in the later rounds.

Froch has shown that his chin isn't as great of late, when Dirrel could have and should have done the deed when he had him in trouble.

The only way Froch can win is by mauling and brawling, and upsetting Kessler's rather orthodox and one-dimensional skills, as formidable it can be. The Ward fight showed that he just can't change his ways in a fight. Calzaghe had the mind and skill the change midfight, but Kesslers and Pavliks of the boxing world cannot.

But as we have seen, Froch doesn't hold very much and isn't gun-shy to have a go in trading punches whenever possible. If he does this he's going to be knocked out.

I see Kessler being cautious early and piling up the rounds, and as Froch becomes desperate to trade, Kessler hits the button and Froch loses his title.

I think this will not be the same Kessler as we saw with Ward, who was a smart fighter. Froch is not. And the possibility of getting to be champion again will provide the necessary incentive this time round. Should be a great fight.

I think Kessler wins this one, as for quickly, i can see why you think it could happen and wouldnt be a huge surprise but more than likely be later on.

just to let people know, im a big andre ward fan, and far from a kessler fan. i picked ward to beat him. i just call fights how i see them, and theres no bias with my prediction here because im not a fan of neither fighter. but i respect their skills and i find them both very exciting.

and when i say froch's chin has deteriorated, i mean moreso of his punch resistance has deteriorated. and can't hate on him for that, look at the shots he took against pascal and taylor. also remember fellas, froch is going to be 33 this year and he didnt start professionally all that late in terms of age.
