Am I crazy or was Berto in that fight

I thought he was in it. And he should of been alowed to carry on, or at least give him the full 8.

 

Yup, I was worried Berto might have got the win with bad judges and winning the 11th and 12th round

Really even if Berto won the 11th and 12th I think Karass deserved the win but a draw would have been acceptable (Karass kind of gassed later on)

But then BAM left hook and it's over - Ref should have given Berto 8, but at that point Karass had it in the bag (unless the Judges were planning a robbery)

Berto getting the Knockdown/lowblow helped him alot.

 

Had it 104-104 going into the last
Berto had some good rounds landing hard punches but Karass was doing good and woulda probably won the 11th without the knockdown but I was give It 10-8 regardless

A lot of people hate Berto and Black fighters on here so don't go by people on here's scorecards too much lol

 

I had it 8 rounds to 3 for JSK going into the 12th. I couldn't see how anyone had it close.

People on this site always gotta do dumbness with their scorecards knowing all the judges would have it 10-8

Unless the guy destroys the guy and has him out on his feet its always 10-8, one guy went down simple, people here don't wanna give it if they don't like the fighter lol

JSK got knocked down but won the round.

That is a 10-9 in my book.

 

That's stupidness because a lot of fights the guys been winning the round and then gets knocked down its 10-8

If Karass had Berto out on his feet but Berto got the knockdown it would be 10-9 Berto, you can't just cancel the knockdown

You get a extra point for putting the other guy on his ass same way you win a fight if the fighter can't get up in 10 seconds after being knocked down, when have you ever seen a judge not give 10-8 regardless of who's winning, dumbass fans these days

 

I had berto winning 3 rounds at most.

 

Berto has a tremendous ability to absorb punches. It looks as if he got a little thicker up top too.

Steriods wreck your body, but they give you the ability to absorb a serious beating.

For that alone, he was in the fight. Can you think of many fighter that can absorb as many punches as Berto?

Berto has been in several wars. Estrada, Collazo, Ortiz, Guererro, that German guy before the stoppage was turning into a war, and Soto Karas.

Berto has taken a significant amount of punishment.

 

So getting a knockdown automatically means you win the round? Yeesh.

not counting the knockdown round which was 10-8, jsk outlanded berto by 167 punches and out threw berto by twice as many shots.

at the time of the stoppage the fight was essentially a draw on the scorescards where most logical people who have no ties to al haymon and gbp had jsk comfortably ahead.

if jsk did not stop berto its safe to say that andre wouldve won the 12th round even if he were outlanded and outthrown 2-1...pretty much what happened in the first eleven rounds.

can you give us an example when a fighter was knocked down and won the round?

its difficult enough to find a round that was judged 9-9 let alone 10-9.
