Am I missing something about Danny Garcia?

a lot of that hate is due to his partially ******ed father's disrespect of other fighters, Danny is actually quite likeable and down to earth, another reason was that a lot of people thought Lucas would decapitate him, and were proven wrong, and to this day some still haven't gotten over it

 

I dont like the way he low blows all the time and doesnt really get called, his father is terrible aswell and I think theres something unlikeable about danny even though he goes on real humble. The herrea fight and now this salka fight make him look bad too, and he has no real stand out qualities as a fighter

 

does he really low blow that much?... besides the lucas fight i never noticed it.

he may not have any stand out qualities .. but his left hook is a monster.
has a great chin... if u can fight lucas and kendall holt and take there punches u got a chin ... and also his timing is really good.
ring iq footwork boxing skills all that is there.. hes a damn good fighter..

and the herrera fight he deff underestimated him and i think he lost that fight but herrera is a good fighter hes just not a big name.

the salka fight isnt a good one but team garcia is approaching this fight like hes comin off a loss which he really is in a lot of ppl's opinions so the fight isnt horrific like most make it seem

 

Soo... Why didn't Canelo get the "gift" against Floyd?


I will tell you why...Because the fight was a BLOWOUT unlike the close sloppy fight that could have gone either way for Danny V Herrera. The judges gave it to the CHAMP because as tradition has it, you gotta BEAT the champ, not jab the champ.

I am praying for a Herrera rematch... I guarantee Danny is going to put his lights out. Fluke night and you haters get all worked up about it.

naw your right he is a very good fighter and he has a lot of great qualities but just nothing realy stand out for me , ive only seen him fight twice against khan and matteyese and he did it loads, it was the way he did it too kinda seemed calculated put me off him, and if your the champ you cant just start gradully lowering your oppoision going from herrea to a non ranked guy its poor from him

Next reason is that he destroyed Amir Khan. Bitterness from Khan fans still resides to this day.

Add in "Golden Boy promoted" and for some reason you have fans who will hold that against him too...

EDIT: And he beat Morales twice, destroying him the second time. That's 3 mega popular fighters he has dropped and beaten.

EDIT: Most importantly, though, is that boxing fans live in the moment.

 

He is over-rated by some people and that's why other people hate on him. Some of these people who over-rate him are also annoying as hell so people take it out on Danny. It's the same with his father, he is annoying and it makes people hate on Danny even though it's unfair. It is a shame because Danny doesn't seem like a bad guy at all.

 

he was troubled by the corpse of Erik Morales. Unless you live in the "moment," you should know that his loss to Herrera wasn't too surprising.

 

He's really not that good. And he definitely isn't any kind of knockout artist.

I'm a big fan of Garcia, and I also don't believe in luck in boxing

(Unless someone is brutally beating a guy and just happens to slip on the wet mat and knock himself out)

Garcia has rose to every test and passed it, except for Herrera. There is nothing to dislike about him. People will find every excuse in the book to discredit him, he and Canelo are the new Mayweather.

So he got lucky in all of his fights? It wasn't luck, you're making excuses for all of his victories. Herrera's style is just a nightmare for Garcia. Garcia isn't the most skilled, but he's got enough to stay on top for now.

There's a REASON every fighter loses, it isn't bad luck. You can make excuses for everyone.
