the only thing that bothers me about danny is that his father does a lot of the talking for him, it's like his dad had to take over the personality department to make him more marketable, i get it though, danny's a good guy, he doesn't strike me as the type to talk smack to hype a fight. i would still like to see him act like his own man though, not saying that he isn't, it just doesn't appear that way with the amount of smack his old man talks.
to be honest, i think the majority of the hate towards him on this forum comes from the fact that he's beaten very popular fighters. there are a lot of khan, matthyse, and especially morales fans who i'd imagine have a bit of a hate on for him.

Lot of people were bitter when he beat Mattyhse, who was the official "ESB unstoppable monster of the month" at the time

It's ridiculous, getting to the point where I would find more entertainment in Danny taking another no hoper of a fight after Salka just to watch the haters boil over in anger. Doesn't matter because they would mindlessly hate on him no matter what he did, so why should he care?

The main reason is because he's overhyped and because he got badly schooled by Herrera, but still given the win.

Other than that, there aren't particular reasons against him. He has some solid wins.

He's hated because of the fact that his father trash talks and acts like a racist imbecile, and somehow the hate is targeted towards Danny even though the dude is a nice guy.

He's hated only by the Khan/Gay Matthysse fanboys.

The Matthysse fanboys still haven't gotten over Garcia schooling Matthysse.

    That's an irrefutable fact.

"badly schooled" so many people think Herrera won easily, when not even the completely pro Herrera commentator's even alluded to that. They actually said the fight was close time and again all the way up to the 12th round. So where do they get this idea, it must be from the commentating itself where they made it sound that way, in combination of people not knowing how to score fights.

And yesterday it was 8-4, tomorrow it'll be 11-1, and the day after that 12-0. LOL

He did not win easily but he definitely won. Closest analogy is Bradley/JMM where it was a good fight but Bradley clearly won, just like Herrera clearly won.

People starting to dislike Danny because its clear from the open scoring and the way it was conducted that Herrera literally never had a chance in the fight without a knockout. Instead of rematching in a non-rigged game, Garcia has opted for the softest guy they could find and eating up a card with it that could have gone to a deserving fight.

I have nothing against Danny as a person, but a prizefighter is also a commercial brand and Danny's brand has been badly tarnished by the blatant political protection he enjoys. Crap like this is why I have friends who when I mention boxing they go "its no better than WWE, the winner is predetermined, boxing is crap". Which pisses me off because its not always, or even usually true... but its true enough that plenty of people get turned off from the sport.

Nor do I GAF about Matty, I thought Danny was a promising young champ until recently. But unfortunately recent events have turned his brand from that of a promising young fighter into the worst sort of black eye on the entire sport. Its not even really Danny's fault, its Espinoza, Haymon and the alphabet bodies fault. But its still his brand that suffers, as well it should.

When they see the a reaction they shouldn't in the overwhelming majority saying Danny lost, they now know that Danny has a lot more hater's than he does fans. So what are they gonna do for market?.. build on that hate with a Salka fight. And no, Danny did not "clearly" lose at all, almost every last won of those rounds could've gone either way, I liked Danny's huge body shots over Herrera's weak jabs, so I had Danny with a clear victory. It all depended on what you liked, Herrera's shots were clear to see and many landed to the face where like but the commentating largely ignore Danny's body shots.

Although, at one point I believe they called one of Danny's body shots the best shot of the fight, problem, he had been landed plenty of great body shots throughout without much recognition. They actually talked about Herrera's jab to the body which didn't compare to the power Danny had his body game, once again because it just landed prettier, it was easier to talk about. And at one point they finally notice how Herrera was breaking down which they seemed surprised at, which they would if they were not noticing the hard consistent shots Danny was landing to the body. There was more to that fight than the commentating made it sound.

What has that to do with anything? And breaking down? Never happened, Garcia got beat up worse and worse as the fight went on.

Herrera did not have power? Examine the faces of the two fighters post-match. Examine the body language. Take a close look at Sam Watson talking into Danny's ear after the fight on the ring " dont worry, dont worry we got this we got this - smile, smile, smile, smile " take a close look and turn your volume way up.

Garcia lost that fight, and he knew he lost that fight and his corner knew he lost that fight.

As far as announcers go I could GAF, I assume all announcers are idiots because they miss half of what goes on in the ring with the exception of Ward and to a lesser degree Paulie.

Exactly. Generation X-Box loves to make monsters out of men only to have their heroes crushed a week later.:D

If it's so true Herrera won, then why are you getting upset and coming up with conspiracy theories?? That's takes all the air out of any your argument for me.

That you somehow imagine I am upset, or have conjured up some imaginary conspiracy theory says it all.

Stop projecting onto other people, it makes you look dumb.

And on to the name calling, but yet you're not upset, lol. And don't worry we got this smile smile smile while you yourself said they knew they lost is not alluding to them saying we got the judging in our pocket for a conspiracy theory, right?? :patsch
