Who did Moorer beat besides Holy? :think Tyson was past best. Bowe is the best win on either man's resume but the rest of Lennox's resume + the head to head makes his better :nod
Arguably? He beat him worse in the draw than the win :nod 3 rounds for Holy at best in the draw. 340 punches land to 130.
That Foreman would have knocked out half the guys on Lennox's resume? Mercer? On both guys' resumes. Briggs? Lennox's resume, beat Foreman in a controversial decision. Morrison? Lennox's resume, beat Foreman Moorer? Evander's resume, Foreman by KO Cooper? Evander's resume, Foreman by RTD Stewart? Evander's resume, Foreman by MD.
Holyfield has beat the most lineal heavyweight champions in history with 7 win. Douglas, Foreman, Holmes, Bowe, Moorer, Tyson, and Rahman.
How did Holyfield have a better resume than Lewis? Lewis beat Holyfield - Holyfield was better than Tyson/Holmes/Foreman Lewis beat Morrison - Morrison beat Foreman Lewis beat Golota - Golota was clearly better than Bowe Lewis beat Tucker - Tucker stopped Douglas Lewis beat McCall - McCall beat Holmes Lewis beat Tua - Tua wiped his butt with Moorer Lewis beat Weaver - Weaver beat Cooper Lewis beat Vitali, Ruddock, Gary Mason -- all were better than Alex Stewart. It's not even close. Lewis beat better fighters than Holyfield, and he beat Holyfield.
So I guess the idea is to limit Holyfield to just who he beat in the 90s, while comparing that sampling to Lewis' whole career from 90s to 00s. Also pretending that fighters exist in a vacuum outside of time and space...example: acting as if the 87 Tucker who bested Douglas is comparable to the washed up coke head who fought Lewis 6 years later or 92 Bowe is comparable to the slob that lost to Golota. When one has to take such drastic short cuts to make a case one has to wander if Lewis' resume is actually better.
Which career defining wins did Holy have after the 90s? Lennox had 7 fights from 2000 on and all 6 that he won were as good as if not better than any Holy win post 2000.
You've actually got it backwards. Tony Tucker was a coke head when he fought Douglas. He took a break after the Tyson fight and cleaned up. When he faced Lewis, he was off drugs and the only loss in his whole career had come against Tyson (a fight Tony entered with a broken hand) and Tucker was the mandatory WBC contender for Lewis' title. Lewis dominated him. As for Bowe against Golota, in the rematch, Bowe weighed the same as he did against Holyfield in their first fight. Bowe admitted he was in the best shape of his life. He was out for revenge. And Golota dropped him legitimately and was dominating him on the cards. Bowe won one round of the eight, before Golota was DQed (for being an idiot). And Lewis didn't wait around for Golota to foul him. He just blew him out in about 90 seconds. Lewis' resume is better. Lewis defeated every pro fighter who ever stepped in the ring with him. He has a win over all of them. And if you want to include Evander's fights in the 2000s, fine. There were the Ruiz fights ... Toney ... Donald ... Byrd ... Ibragimov ... which losses measure up to Lewis beating Tua and Vitali and Tyson?
