i think that derives mostly from gamboa making mental slip-us than it being a chin issue. as you saw none of the punches hurt him. the guy got clocked with an elbow for christ sake and still knocked his opponent out lol. but going against a dangerous pressure fighter like juanma, i think gamboa would be wise not to come in immediately swinging for the fences. he would be much more precise and tactical. it would be a barnburner plain and simple

Yes, he's a pretty big prospect.

    Judge for yourself.

perez looks a good prospect, however judging him against the likes of howard daley is very misleading, would like to see him stepped up. solis perez im guessing would be huge!! is there any rivalry between the two of them ?

No, like I said Perez has been out for alittle over 1 yr now.

But Perez/Solis would be a great match if Solis could slim down to about 230 lbs.

wanting him to get down to 230 seems a little optimistic as i dont think hes weighed less than 245 as a pro, frustrating as he seems to have all the tools, the barret looks very impressive

True, but that's pretty much the only way he can reach his true potential.

No more of this 250+ ****.

I was never sold on Lopez. Despite Gamboa's questionable chin, I expect him to beat Lopez and look good doing it.

Yeah Perez is a bit of a mystery. I remember there was talk of sending him over to the United States to get some exposure on some FNF stuff but I don't know where that went.

For me right now Gamboa takes the fight. Too big, too strong, too fast, etc. However, I want to see how Juanma developes in this weight class. If he fills up the weight well and becomes a strong featherweight I think Juanma has the style to stop Gamboa. But with Gamboa's explosiveness and athleticism it feels like anything can always happen. It will sure be interesting to say the least.
