Ok, so I was, ok 1st round, a boring round, a testing the waters round till things get going....and then... WAMM.!!!!... Canelo comes out and Lands with so much Force...! I was Wow.. **** Just got Real..! :thumbsup where you also Shocked?
you could see how El Perro was Almost Lifted off the ground every time Canelo landed one of his power punches
At the end of the first when hunter asked Angulo if canelo's punches were troubling him i expected a "no" as a reply ...When he said "a little bit" i knew it was gonna be a long night, but i still expected more. The misses asked me "what was wrong with Angulo" during his entrance walk...i brushed her off like she was talking nonsense. She said he looked "down". An honestly i would expect a different second round from any Mexican fighter that felt the shots coming back at him were troubling him "a little bit", i would expect him to come marauding out to show that he can punch too and start putting some weight behind his punches, but no...Angulo just looked like he was sleep walking for the first 6 rounds at least. Im disappointed to be honest, i thought this was gonna be a tear up. I bought into the hype of two Mexican fighters going at it, but I guess a mis match is still a mis match regardless of where you're from.
Canelo is just not another come forward brawler, he can actually Box and has alot of talent and skills... he just a better all around fighter than el Perro..
you dont see a Fighter Punching so hard in the first few seconds of the 1rst round now a days, I was impressed
Only thing that surprised me was Canelo work rate and energy levels. Angulo is a sitting duck, no head movement at all he was always going to get hit a lot in this fight.
Wasn't shocking to me. When you're facing an opponent that's predictable and clearly discouraged you build a comfortable rhythm and carry it from there. If you allow your opponent to be comfortable early without pressuring him or making him think then he's going to be there doing the same thing all damn night.
